I actually foudn these guys when my 65yo boss said "Hey shayne, you like punk shit right? Look up Chats, its my favorite band". Turns out the old boy was bit of a spikey hair type in the 70s. Still a cunt of a man, but at least he listened to proper music.

Favourite and Favorite mean the same thing, Color and Colour mean the same thing. Meters, Favorite and Color are the American spelling Metres, Favourite and Colour are the spelling for any other english speaking country.

I like the Chats (saw them last year, seeing them again in Sydney), but they are no Dead Kennedys. Not necessarily in a bad way, but they have completely different styles. The Dead Kennedys were much more heavily political and musically quite advanced (especially in the drums and guitars), whereas the Chats are more comparable to some UK and Australian punk + pub bands that relied more on energy and attitude more than a directed message or musical complexity (eg the Anti-Nowhere League, the Cosmic Psychos, etc)

Every new song I hear I like The Chats even more! First found them a few months ago when I was going to see Amyl and The Sniffers in Dallas & a friend told me "The Chats are also playing tonight." I was like "who's The Chats?" Then I asked "why the fuck are they playing the same night 3 blocks apart? They should be on the same bill! I want to see them!" My friend said, "I think they're enemies!" I liked Amyl so much I already had tickets for the next night in Austin, also, & of course The Chats were also playing the same night again! Both shows sold out! This song is so fire I feel the heat through my monitor! I love both bands but having just discovered them at 56 y/o I want to see The Chats on stage really bad! I wish the two bands were an Australian double hitter instead of enemies!
