The full exhaust titanium should've been the choice for the FZ07. It's engine makes the the exhaust sound unique out of all the bikes in/out of its class. But it's also the most expensive choice lol.
Expensive? Say whuuut? NOT. Akrapovic was the most cheapest for my MT09. (850 euro incl tax) All others like, SC project, Austin Racing, Scorpion,.. etc are over 1000 euro..
It's because of the crossplane crankshaft. www.technologyandus.com/detailed-summary-of-motorcycle-engines-part-2/ scroll down to "parallel twin" and watch the animation.
Just purchased an fz07 2 months ago, got a cheap muffler and pipes. (130 bucks) best money spent ever, sounds exactly like the vid. And i spent 1/9th the price
I think Yoshi sounds better, but the convenience and confinement of the Akro is a major benefit. The Yoshi pipe is pretty fat, and sits just under the foot peg. That looks much more tucked away
These exhausts have a rattle sound to them. Assume caused by pop rivets dropping bits of material in the can. I removed the dB killer on mine and the rattle is still there, but overall sounds much better!!!
With any full system exhaust for a motorcycle you should tune your bike. Due to the new exhaust you’ll need to tune the air/fuel ratio. Take it to a dyno or buy a power commander if you really want to, just know whatever you choose it will cost you a few hundred dollars more.
@@jbrew4244 I would recommend going on Revzilla and shop for parts by bike. When you input your bike it will show you a bunch of aftermarket parts but you can filter it by department. Choose the Air & Fuel department and it will show you a bunch of "Tuners" that will work for you. But, as I said before you could also go to a dyno place if you live near one and they will do it for you. It is possible this is the less expensive option as well. Good luck and have fun with the MT-07! Stay safe.
It is IWC schaffhausen (PORTUGIESER PERPETUAL CALENDAR EDITION), the thing I dont like about it is that you have to redraw it every time the minute changes...
So ya I got 2016 model, but nothing has changed, the exhaust will fit 2014-2018 models. The 2018 body style looks different, but underneath they are all the same :)
Shoei RF1200, with 3d printed go pro mount, GoPro Hero 4 with Sony ECMCS3 Microphone, and two of those microphone socks on both sides, u can find the mounts online just look around for a bit, cant remember the site on top of my head
So ya it is kinda weird, a lot of tall people find the bike pretty small. But for me, I am 5'11 myself and I think the bike is the perfect size. My legs wrap perfectly around the gas tank, and makes it super comfortable. Maybe it's because I'm a bit more skinny which makes it fit me right, but I'm not sure lol. Thanks for commenting :)
There is rubber grommet on the left side of the muffler. You pop that off, it will reveal a small bolt. Unscrew it, make sure the washer doesn’t fall inside the muffler (otherwise you would have to take the whole thing off) then gently pull the baffle with pair of pliers. It should pop out. I’d recommend you put peace of fabric between the baffle and the pliers not to scratch it :)
Hey guys! Love the new bikes! I live in Canada too. and I'm shopping around to get either the Fz07/Mt07 or the SV650. what ur guys thoughts as one of them as a first bike? I got 12 years of expirence of ridding dirt bikes and I know ridding a street bikes has its differnces but I want to get a bike I can grow into and not only ride for one season and get rid of. also whats is the insurance like if u don't mind me asking? other than that Great videos guys! keep em up! love seeing local Motovloggers!
So ya honestly if you know the basics, you can definitely start on one of these, the throttle throw is really long so its very hard to give a lot of gas by accident. I got bored of 300cc bike pretty quick so I would definitely recommend these ones, they have plenty of power and super fun to ride in the city with huge amounts of torque. Insurance wise if you are over 25 you will be looking ~100 dollars for full coverage a month (but it really depends... everyone is different). Now if less than 25 it would be quite a bit higher around ~200 dollars (but again it really depends). Hope that helped and thanks for watching :)
Awesome thanks! Thats great help! Yeah I'm going for my M2 course this weekend so I'll start shopping around for insurance after then. thanks again! :)
Ive had the SV650, the SV1000 and now the MT-07... I like them all, but the seating position on the MT-07 is much more comfortable. the SV650 seemed a little under powered.
Sure hope you get it tuned. And yes it does need it. With a DNA filter/box lid, full system like you have, and ECU flash, you will see significant gains.
Yup, even though it is listed on their site that ecu tune is not required, I most definitely lost some power. The front wheel doesn't go up in second like it used to with just throttle. Hopefully I can tune it soon, thanks for commenting :)
Exactly. I don't understand why exhaust companies actually state such foolish things. Probably because they aren't knowledgeable about the overall operation of a motorcycle and its electronics. You would think they would be, but I guess they only use dynos to build more optimal exhaust systems, not to get the absolute peak efficiency of a given bike with their exhaust. ECU's have about 10% ability to move up or down from their OEM program. They are lean to start with. Things only get worse when opened up.
I was thinking about getting one of these bikes now I'm thinking again because I do not want to be associated with these nutters these idiots who think it's smart and clever and something wonderful to revved the bollocks off the bike when it standing still.......................best way to generate anti-bike laws........ well done lads..........keep it up soon have the government banning bikes altogether.....

Is it legal to use this kind of exhaust on usual roads?(not for racing)what are the legal dB limits in your country? Thanks
No one really cares about dB here in Canada, although rules are different in every country
