  • Depending on the natural resources in each region, Indigenous art was created to reflect a specific Indigenous world view. Many of these artistic expressions have survived to this day, just like that of the Inca tribe, through the preservation and perpetuation of each unique style.

Humans transfoming into animal beings is an acknowledgement of the animal nature of humans. A celebration.

Good documentary on facts, though I doubt my ancestors dressed that fancy to perform the grueling metalwork or the chasqui wore heavy clothes to run long distances when carrying mail, metals or seafood for the emperor in Cuzco. And really doubt they had the sun god in the same place place they had their metallurgic workshop.

Textiles were not included in this film. Maybe next time?

This movie is unexpectedly eclectic (I thought it would only be for Latin America). But I loved the seal boy story - this is how bullies should be treated, great message 💜

8 advertisement interruptions in the video……. Crazy. Some are 3 minutes apart..just to much.

the Legend describing the boy, of course the character is male, disguising himself as a seal, was NOT about living together in harmony. It provided an instruction on destroying enemies.

When I saw as the smoothly shaved man had set foot in America after a long journey in a boat over the ocean, then I understood that i'd be rind of a funny ride. Thank you for the video, guys.

I'd add that the claim that mercury was needed as described at 4:56 is at the very least a somewhat confused understanding of metal refining. Similarly, suggesting a world leading metallurgical tradition is perhaps just a little hyperbolic and undermines a proper appreciation of this culture.

I wonder if they will show the pictures of Indigenous Black people. The Smithsonian has them!
Before slavery, Black people lived throughout the Americas. We know this cause only 300,000 slaves came from Africa to the USA, the rest were already here, they were just reclassified as "negro", while the other indigenous people were considered "Spanish"
This is why they speak spanish, and we speak English, although we are all on the same land. We got conquered, and some Native Americans sold us out once the treaties came about, and were named the "Five Civilized tribes". This is how $5 indians came about, and why a lot Native Americans look like Europeans, now. They paid their way into the tribes
Before slavery indigenous people meant black people as well. The story of Queen Kalif who California was named after, lets you know this if you pay attention. Ask yourself how did that story come out in 1510, yet "history" claims the fist black people who came here came in 1619 from slavery in West Africa? We were lied to!

The next thing they will claim that they have invented the wheel.!!
honestly, most of what I have seen in this video is exaggerated if it's not false.

The clickbait title leaves a bad taste.
There's nothing particularly groundbreaking in the documentary.
