Also under $100 is the Mantis Vuja De, a karambit balisong combo. I've heard it's just a novelty, but I've gotten pretty fast with it. I've got small hands too, and it fits better than the Brous Enforcer or the steel tiger. It is worth it to grind the blade to a more acute angle than factory if you're going to use it.

The Karambit got its name from Asia. It was used for agricultural use. Then some marshal artist decided it was a great thing to use for fighting off attackers. They called it a Tiger Claw; funny thing is; the idea of curved cutting tool is nothing new. I used curved knives for cutting Pumpkins, Watermelons, Cabbages and corn stalks on the farm. We called them a hook knife. They were made like sickles and mowing scythe just small versions. That is what you see the Grim Reaper holding in drawings. I used curved knives called carpet knives too; for cutting asphalt shingles, rubber roof sheeting, carpet, and fiberglass mat. They work well for lots of things; I just wonder if the people buying them know what to use them for. I believe you might be thinking about that answer too. Twirling around sharp knives seems dangerous to me. That is what you call a real blood sport of sorts.
Even marcaida said that he also learn carambit at Merpati Putih Silat in Indonesia and also by one of Indonesia Air force Instructor. Base on the people of Minangkabau ( Indonesia ), Carambit is the word by tagalog and melayu language. The word came from minangkabau language _ The Original name is Kurambiak , Kurai mean Curve and Ambiak mean Take it. So Curambiak means to Deliver a Curve attack and then take it. The modern carambit is base on Silat Harimau ( Tiger Silat ). But Kurambiak from minangkabau Indonesia originally from Silat Elang ( Eagle Silat ) because is originally from how eagle hunt the prey by that curve claw. In modern Carambit , people say carambit from Tiger Claw. Its not wrong either. Because there is many form of Silat. And the move Marchaida show in his video is from Silat Elang/ Eagle Silat. In indonesia military , The Instructor usually have the knowledge in both type Eagle Silat and Tiger Silat.

check out the steel river folding karambat, its got a Spike on the ring for a glass breaker or (skull cracker) its got a fast, positive opening blade and is rock solid with G10 handles. Size is about like the cold steel, its general design is like the big, black folder but half as thick and lots lighter. Awsome knife.
That first would be cool if just a regular shape. Kara bits are very good for cutting material. Super effective and just damn nasty as hell. But not practical for a vast majority of things. This is good for deep cutting and shredding and cutting rope

@@keithchristner4522 I've seen that version of provoke and it feels like crap no offense I mean the thing doesn't feel that good for self defense and not everyone finds it cool enough to carry because it's kinda like toy version of karambit

Nice job as always Holly. Wish there was more content
Typical fighting karambits have 2 edges but due to legal restrictions in many parts of the world, production karambits only have 1 edge
