    Lived in Zaragoza 1971 through 1974. I was 13 years old when I arrived and 17 when I left. Zaragoza was a magical place. My father was stationed at Zaragoza Air Force Base. The American bases have since been closed. We lived on the Civilian economy. Chalets de San Lamberto then on Ferdinando Catolico and Avenida Navarra. As a teenager I frequented Los Tubos. I loved all the tapas bars there, and I recall a small cabaret where a gentleman played the piano and women came out to dance, sing and shimmy. Zaragoza had some great discotheques!!!!! (It was the 70's afterall) The pillar was breathtaking. Beautiful people. Fantastic food. Enchanting city in so many ways.

      I got there shortly after you left. My dad was stationed in ZAB, from 1977 to 1980, for the second time. We were there from 1961 to 65 the first time. Great place in the 70's.

      My father was stationed in Torrejon AB in the until '86 to '90 and my childhood friend was from Zaragoza. His family would travel all time and I always wondered if it was a cool town. Of course, being a sizeable European city, and a very old one, means that it a wonderful place to visit. That food looked incredible!

    Croquetas are not usually filled with mashed potatos but rather a bechamel sauce!

    Croquetas in Spain are not made with whipped or mashed potatoes. They're made with bechamel. Saludos. Must have been the Vemuj. 😉

    How has the culture change since the virus ?

    • @samuelgarza8925
      @samuelgarza8925  3 года назад +1

      Culture changes? The economy is taking a huge hit due to the lack of tourism. However, each region has it own unique culture which I don't see changing regardless of external circumstances. Thanks for liking the video.

    Lovely video however you made a mistake saying croquetas are made mostly with mass potato. This isn’t right cause croquetas don’t contain even potatoes, in the contrary they are made with bechamel!

      Hello Sam! :-) I live in Madrid but created this video in February 2020; just a month before the lockdowns here in Spain. The region of Aragon was hard hit with the virus but I am not too sure how things have been in Zaragoza. Please visit our website at www.worldtravelerstoday.com/custom-itenaries/ if you would like to use our services in the future. Thanks for the message and for following my channel.
