Go do ALL of the crafting/gathering profession intro quests. You'll get special universal crafting packs. You can use those instead of resources to make stuff. You can then make a full set of lvl7 armor/weapon/jewelry. It makes your first foray out into the world on Fearless a lot more manageable.
@@CaffeinatedDad the speed is there 😁 . War steeds meaning cavalry. You attack on horseback. There is light warsteed(for pure speed) medium(a little slow compared to light because it is in the middle between defense and speed) and heavy(slower than light and medium but it makes it up in more defense)
@@ZinfandelRed1914 I had a lot of rubber banding last night during the festival. I did what I could and then logged out since it was getting annoying. But that was really the first night I had that issue.
9:08 - The free revive is not VIP-only. Everyone gets a free revive that goes on cooldown and then you'd have to respawn at a defeat circle if you die again.
Leveling solo on heroic +2 was really brutal, but I went through this adventure on my champ from lvl 6 to 90. The hardest part was reaching lvl 20 because quest equipment is really bad in the beginning. Then I got corruption removal and other convenient skills/traits and everything became kinda easy, especially when I got a spear at lvl 25 from Fornost quests with lvl 40 stats/damage. With this weapon I was obliterating signature trolls in the cave near Melluinen, North Downs. At lvl 30+, gear and virtues allow to maximize damage and critical rate. The real fun was doing all deeds and quests in Goblin Town. Some bosses there pose a challenge if you are alone, also pulling 3 orcs at once might be deadly. After lvl 50 the game is mostly easy on heroic +2 if you play champ, some fellowship areas like Limlight are still too hard to solo though. Everything changes once you get to West Rohan. There I had to lower difficulty to Fearless +2. The orcs, wargs and humanoids are insane there, they hit way harder at lvl 86+ than anywhere before, also have better survivability, you can no longer kill them from 3 skills, rather they one-shot you. If you are playing in duo/trio and looking for a really interesting and hard landscape content, head to West Rohan. The same thing is with Gondor and I guess up to Mordor.
I've been doing Fearless +3 and loving it. At the lower levels anything more that a one on one is almost certain death. Then one one one can easily take half the health. Funny thing is I am usually one who plays on story mode or normal, but in this game I love it harder.
Haha great stuff. I’m playing my dwarf warden, heroic difficulty 7 and I’m level 5 in a legendary server where the xp for everything is only 40%. I’m struggling but I been crafting and taking it slow. For me it’s the journey. I love LoTRO.
Nice video. What difficulty matches what was there when the cap was 65? I don't know of any character I have made that hasn't gotten undying with ease. A Guardian or Warden can pull a whole camp and not even get scratched.
I've been trying to get into lotro for the past week. However, i can't seem to get the client to work on either of my computers. I've tried the official client and steam. I keep running into issues. I did read some redit threads to fix the issue. It will run the first time, but when closed and reloaded, it won't update the packet info. Unrelated to the video, but does anyone have any pointers or advice. Im about to just give up trying.
The higher difficulty settings are just flat nerfs to your stats, aside from the Sauron air strikes, no different from taking off gear. It means other people can still run up and one shot anything you are fighting. It's not balanced at all and it doesn't apply to instances where everything will be very easy. The reason other people ride faster is like with everything in the game, the cash shop will give you huge advantages in every respect.

4:39 just wait till you get your war steed. you would be like speed racer being a speed demon :) i named mine jeff.
Lol I am curious to see the speed difference!

You're going to love the Rohan war steeds for speed.
You're also going to hate them for everything else.
I'm wondering how they will perform on the Angmar server. Regardless of the upgrade to 64-bit, I still get stuttering, starting to wonder if its me!
I came back to try out Rohan after a 2 year break and quit within a few months. I feel there were a lot of issue with Rohan outside of the steeds too.

The best series from LOTR on youtube

Love the game. Minstrel is my personal favorite 💯🤘🏻
I relate to your LOTRO impressions and really glad to see you have fun playing despite the game's unique... flaws.
No spoilers, but if you want to know the Dourhands Skorgrim story, be sure to out to Weathertop and follow the story lines there.

Hey I'm also a newbie in LOTRO. Any advices or tips??

Nice. Obligatory first comment.
