Just have to say, coming from someone (me) who's paid tuition and went to school for 3 years in TV broadcasting production over 30 years ago (totally dating myself here)...lol and has worked at various Canadian TV stations, and production houses over the past 25 years, (I just make sure the programs "get to air") Dustin's ENTIRE one man solo productions, rivals that of any professional industry ones. Production places will have up to 5 people on crew, just to pull off a stellar production like Dustin's. Seriously dude your videos are top notch. From shooting, to story telling, to editing...Your videos are gold!
Thank you so much :). I have clients that get that comment as well. Big corporations see their videos and say “wow, you guys hired a whole production crew” and they say “no, that’s just our guy”. I love that compliment, thank you.
Your style more than makes up for fancy equipment. I have watched all of your video's and it's amazing how much you have excelled in your videography and quality. You keep a good mix of things and allow yourself to be you. And of course your comedic skits, we love those, don't forget those.
Dustin thank you for the “show n’ tell”… it’s not the equipment you own but the person operating it that makes the quality… Your videos are always interesting, really happy that your in the smaller more nimble rig now.
Thanks for showcasing all your gear! I too have been fascinated at what you use. You have a nice variety and you make it work really well. Your videography skills are pretty darn good if you ask me, especially for outdoors and on-the-go filming. Your skills shine through for sure! :)
Your production values are usually first rate, and I certainly appreciate that. Not a Mac Fanboy (Too pricey) but each to his own. PCs for me, with Power Director for video editing. I love the way you shoot and edit; blending in Tunes just right. Well Done. I'm always looking for the next video you post. I've seen them all. 😉
Awesome, thank you. PC’s are getting so powerful at such a good price, it’s a no brainer but I’m stuck because I’m so used to the Mac. I’m happy so far, but we’ll see what the future holds.
Really almost anything you talk about is made interesting by you Dustin, the technology involved with your journalism is amazing, looking forward to the next adventure that you lead us on Thank-You!
Awesome review of gear. My daughter (only 9) and I are adventurers ourselves, and your video gave us some new ideas for new gear. We live in the U.S. Midwest, but travel all over the Country, mostly in the U.S. Southwest (high desert...low desert ...mountains...you name it!). We have a lot of the same gear. That egg-timer for time lapses is a great idea though! She went wild over that bc she is a time-lapse afficianado. So, went straight to Amazon to find one. As a thanks, ordered some Destination Adventure apparel tonight. Keep these adventures coming my friend, bc we need people like you putting themselves out there, and showing how life SHOULD be lived! Now if I could just find a Gnarly Davidson for us both lol
Awe man, you had me right up to the end, when you said Mac (haha kidding). I am a PC guy, but a computer is only a shell these days.. It does what we need it to do.. Your Cameras make me drool
When I got into editing, I was told Mac was the only option so I bought one. Went through the pain of learning, then got good at it so I’m stuck. Hahaha. It’s working for me but I know those powerhouse pc’s are way less expensive.
@@Destination_Adventure Dustin, these days they're all the same hardware.. I have installed the MAC OS on a PC, and I have put Windows on a Mac, ever since Apple started using the Intel processers, they're no longer a unique system.
Even if someone has the exact same equipment you use, they would never be able to produce the same awesome quality content that you do. Your vids are outstanding, Dustin!
Fantastic brief on camera equipment. This will be very useful for when I head out on my 16,000 kilometre trip across the country. Very inspirational, thank you!
You do a great job without using the latest greatest tech. Just proves content and hard work make the difference! I use the Canon M50II, several Gopros (9,10) and my Sony A7R4 and many lenses, plus the DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
Hi Dustin Amaze to see what a single person is doing to shoot best for his subscribers Thanks for the videos and keep going hard. This is Daljeet from 150 mile house store,Hope we will meet again one day
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I keep telling myself (and others) that I'm going to start a channel soon, but I've just about resigned myself to NOT doing it. Just not motivated. Guess this DJI Pocket 2, the four Chinese GoPro knock-offs (which aren't half bad) and my new DJI Mini 3 Pro will continue to collect dust. Though the drone is fun so I'll still fly it from time to time.
I knew I liked your content for a reason...a fellow Lumix user! Well done on the videos. I use two Panasonic G9s for sports and use 12-35mm f2.8, 35-100mm f2.8 and 100-400mm.
Wow, the filming sounds complicated lol obviously you are so talented and love your medium and it shows, I love the way you film your adventures! Always captivating no matter what the adventure!
Was going to ask you what gear you use. You work is incredible . Figured you had very expensive gear. Have you considered Starlink? Seems to be the rage with boondockers.
Ahhh you told me it was coming and here it is! Sick! Also awsome you use davinci, and I thought for sure you were shooting sony! MFT! Dude awesome 👌 I'm waiting for canon to release the r7c, should be a good camera.
@@Destination_Adventure I'm rocking the 90d however no ibis, the r7 has ibis and downscaled 7k to 4k video you can also adapt the EF and EFS lenses to the r7's RF mount with a variable ND adapter so no more screw on ND filters. Would be a slick set up..... oh and it shoots in C Log 3 for color grading. But rumor has it the cinema version is coming out in 2023 the R7C..... also you can't beat canons auto focus.
oh man all the gear you had me until you said you edit on the mac!! I have done lots of editing on a mac final cut pro and what not but I still prefer adobe premiere on a jacked pc way better render times!
You mentioned that you're using a 2019 MacBook Pro but indicated that the current iMac would be your machine of choice. Portability isn't an issue for me (I do some photo editing but mostly writing), but I badly need to upgrade from my 2006 Mac Pro tower to a new or at least newer machine since I can't get to a lot of internet sites with my current Mac. Any suggestions?
I’m not up to date on computers, because mine is doing well still. iMac is a powerful computer though. If you’re not editing video, you don’t really need a powerful computer.
@@Destination_Adventure ahh ok, yes I stayed away from Adobe for similar reason. I use the free version of Davinci, but because I like to use dual monitors the paid version was too pricey ( free does not let you)... currently using Cyberlink Power director 365 which has the install... anyways you are doing a great job making the videos exciting. I always look for the angles youtubers like your self do.
It’s the Destination Adventure Podcast, but it is only available for the Patrons. Any tier includes the podcast, and it’s all about the adventures you see, but what you didn’t get to see. It’s also just stories and life, but it’s mixed with music for the folks that follow for my soundtracks. It’s music I’m not able to use on RUclips.

Best Canadian adventure show in all of the America's
Thank you.
Now we have your secrets ! Thanks for the breakdown , love your stuff and new direction lately .
Don’t you dare tell anybody ;)
Thanks for that Dustin, a one man mobile production company, so cool man.

thanks for sharing! I'm at the point now that I can level up on my channel having a bit of experience in the camera world and this helps some👍
Thanks for sharing! As a newbie, I learned a lot. I need more equipment!
Awesome episode! Always wondered how you get those drone shots while driving, you got a great eye for beauty buds keep it up! Stay frosty out there
Glad to see you still have the old Canon. Really miss the IR videos from the early days!

You do really awesome videos with the stuff you have!!!
Thanks so much for sharing! I got excited like a kid on Christmas waiting to open a sega génesis haha like please unbox it haha
Hahahah I’ve been staring at that box for weeks. Gotta bust into that baby soon.
HOly! you found harry pottera stunt car!! hey ive followed you for some years now , amazing vids and wonderfull adventures !
great. thanks for sharing.
Great videos lately. Forgot to ask In this one. What program do you edit your videos. Greetings from Denmark
Love the videos… thanks for sharing your gear. What editing software do you use?
Thank you, I edit on Davince Resolve. Adobe is the best, but since they’ve gone cloud based it’s less of an option for me.
Thank you good information
great stuff thanks
Was going to ask you what gear you use. You work is incredible . Figured you had very expensive gear.

I will be buying starlink as soon as I can. That’s the biggest problem for me right now.
Ahhh you told me it was coming and here it is! Sick! Also awsome you use davinci, and I thought for sure you were shooting sony! MFT! Dude awesome 👌 I'm waiting for canon to release the r7c, should be a good camera.
I’m tempted to go back to canon. This sony has just been so reliable for me, I haven’t needed to look into a change yet.

Nice change up of style or videos, I still can't get over you have a gopro 3+ 😂. Are you using Adobe for video editing?
I switched to DaVinci Resolve when Adobe went more cloud based. I don’t have internet. I’m super stoked on DR but Adobe I think is better.
Have you ever thought of going with the Insta 360? I have heard a lot of people praise them.
Never looked at it.
Wow!!!
Just curious what software you're using to edit your videos on?
Subscribed!
what video editing software are you use ( looks like Davinci?) and what made you decide on using it.
That is correct. I switched to Devinci when Adobe went cloud based, because I don’t have wifi.

What do you use to keep that beard looking so glorious. 😁
Hahaha. I make my own beard balm. Maybe that will be in an episode.
5:23 where is that brother
👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍
🤙
What kind of shotgun are you carrying?
That will be covered in the adventure gear video.
Awesome! Im watching right now.
You are important so show us everything.
A GoPro 3 ha!! Go back to 1800 you sod!!!! Jk!!! I hate cheap gear… but I hate to pay for the good stuff!? What can you do… you need a Cannon 80D man.
I got to use canon when I was on cruise ships. They’re awesome cameras.
