  • With the popularity of no prep racing, MSD’s Power Grid Ignition Control is the one tool to have on your race car. The power management features will allow you to get your race car down the track. The ability to add modules opens up even more possibilities. Today we will shed some light on the ARC module. The ARC module stands for Advanced RPM Control, it basically allows your race car to remain consistent, pass after pass, controlling your engines rpm curve during a pass. This helps you get down the track quicker and far more consistent. By using the MSDView software we can control the rpm down to a hundredth of a second and control the driveshaft speed for maximum traction. We can also pull out timing for a split second should we encounter tire slip. In this video we will set up a curve to pull 5 degrees of timing and a second curve to pull 10 degrees, if that is not enough to slow down the driveshaft speed, we can then set a rev limit to slow down the wheel speed.

Is there anyway of adding timing for slow wheel speed, can you offset your curve negative and put a negative timing value in?

Do you need extra like arc module to get these curves to pop up and rev launch I was never told you need a,relay to make that work not happy with 6011 modular box

You need to have a Power Grid System to use the ARC Module. The Power Grid itself has many features to control the engine at launch. The Power Grid system will not work with modular motors or any motor that has individual coils. The engine must have a distributor. -R

This is pretty wild, but am I the only one that feels like electronics are ruining drag racing? Pretty soon the cars won't even need a driver.... Sorry if this offends anyone, I guess I'm just getting old. My first thought when I realized the direction of this video was, "learn how to tune your car and learn how to drive."

this is tuning and i think innovation is great especially when it is affordable for the avg guy.
