Your HR department is lazy yoh, why couldn't they verify your ID number & your signiture? Before sending it to finance dept, so sorry to hear that, Scammers are way brilliant nowadays, the issue of unemployment is also creating more scammers
I don’t think it was an issue of being lazy, government works differently. If the task is not for your section, you have to refer to the relevant section.
I also used to be an over sharer, especially on Twitter. I realised just by complaining to City Power for example about an outage in my area, I even shared the street where I lived. 🙆🏾♀️ I deleted all that, and I now make a point to not share identifiable details and especially where I work or what I do there. I’m actually going to remove my department on LinkedIn. Heyi bandla, these scammers.

Hey Jenn❤❤. Sorry you had to experience such. Social media has its own advantages and disadvantages. However, these scammers are always trying their luck and we just have to be cautious. Stay safe, especially with December around the corner, scammers will come with all sorts of tricks. Hi Dear scammers are real I went through a similar situation. It happened that I transferred money to my relative a month after I got scammed a lot of money. People are evil. People think they have a right to intrude into other people's finances it's bad. Thank you for sharing dear❤❤❤

Also you call them scammers but have you thought about the possibility of them being more dangerous than just people on the net trying to get to your money.vlogs of you showing the street you walk by to the train or showing the buildings next to yours via a window during your cleaning vids is enough to get stalked and for them to learn your patterns. Please be careful
I did think of that, even though I was always conscious of that when creating those videos. But I am mindful of the lengths people can go to get your information, which is why I don’t film on the streets anymore, if I do, it is very far from where I stay and I make sure street names are not showing. But reality is that scammers or stalkers will do everything in the power to get someone’s info. I don’t want to go into detail in my response because I might just be exposing myself. But please know I mindful of that.

Sorry man, this is scary. First time I hear of this kind of scam, it is an upgrade for sure. We are not safe anymore, ever since I heard during covid that some important data of SA banks was compromised I worry each time I have to transact online. Another thing u need to be wary of is using your full personal name for your channel. For online orders use a virtual card instead of your actual bank card.
Ohhh my gosh, we are exposed yazi. Someone who works at a bank said they have seen a high rise if fraud cases. My bank also emphasised to use my digital card when making online purchases.

Same thing happned to me someome emailed HR and asked for my payslip and asked HR for my details to be changed. Its a good thing HR called me. I think it was one of my friends though, someone that knows me. Recently I also got defrauded by FNB.Did some shopping with my account and booked hotels etc, fnb hasn't given me any feedback it has been more than more than 30days
Please call FNB and follow up on your case, so long as you reported it and you have a case number. I think me and you have the same problem 🙆🏾♀️🙆🏾♀️

This happend to one of my ex colleague. The solution was that employees must submit their forms physical to salaries depart not via email.
This was a good solution, I love it.

They used a fake email, HR is obligated to refer such requests to Finance.

My dad is a doctor and was also defrauded recently. But for him it was through an insurance company. They used his information but they changed his photo and put a photo of a woman. He lost 22K and I don’t know how that case is going now but they are becoming too advanced with trying to rob people gosh.

It might be an inside job, I also suspected that. But not anymore who I work close with based of how inaccurate the information on the form was. People I work with know my exact position title.
Maybe they intentionally tried to make it seem as if they don't know your position so you wouldn't suspect it's a inside job...thank you for sharing your experience. It reminded me the importance of being more alert about what we share on social media. Sorry about everything too❤

It was not close to me because it it was they would have put more accurate information, it was clear from the form that this was something who knew little about me was taking chances.

That time I just opened an account with FNB😢
I don’t think the fault was with FNB, they used the knowledge that we buy online and most of us are mostly expecting deliveries.
FNB is good in investigating fraud cases and getting your money back. But we use our banking details when we shop online not know that we sell our information out and that can be used to steal money from our bank's.
