I used Ableton Live since 2012. But I'm using Cubase for almost more than a year. It's a lot better for me cuz I find it a lot easier to produce and mix tracks at the same time. Easier to arrange. Also better capabilities for making music over video.
The volume automation in Cubase drives me nuts!! You can't change the value manually after automating it. I wish they had a 'relative volume' automation. My workaround is to put a gain plugin on the track and use that for automation. But that adds several steps to the process. Love the track. Great textures layers!
You can. If you de-activate the Read button(the green R) you can change the value manually. If you already know that, I usually add gain plug-in to the end of chain. mvMeter2 of TBProAudio, which is free. So I set volume automation mostly from there. And as the last step I do with the channel's itself. Or the opposite. You set the volume automation. But then you think that channel seems not loud enough? You can increase the volume of Gain plug-in which is at the end of the signal chain.
Opposite for me, long journey. Different trackers on the C64, Oktalyzer (Amiga), Fruity Loops (PC), FL Studio, Ableton. My first Cubase was 10, and I've been a fan ever since.
Hi Steve. I enjoyed this video very much. Can you please tell me how to find the follow-up to this video where you continue into the next step into adding the drums to this video. I am always learning new things about Cubase from your videos but, I don’t know how to find the next parts of your continuation videos. Please help me with this. I am working on my Bucket list now and I am taking computer classes and trying to learn as much as I can about Cubase as possible and I am trying to learn how to use this automation texture you keep talking about. Anyway I wish you continued success with all of your future projects & videos and I also wish you continued success financially as well. I really appreciate your sharing of your knowledge & experiences about Cubase with us beginners and I hope you continue to keep sharing with us. Have a wonderful and weekend. Thank you for sharing with us.
Hi great video, one question. How do you bounce to audio so quickly? Is that already a shortcut command in Cubase? I do it with render, but that is not as quick as you do it. Thanks.
Hello, i wanted ask why my new Cubse 13 pro is giving Audio glitch, Asio Guard spiking even if the project is empty. Tried finding the solution online forum but didn't got any. Please help of anyone is facing the same issue
I’m a cuebase user since it was the only daw way back when. Problem was cuebase lost so many users / potential customers with its dongle. Awful management when this daw is the best by far
Another really interesting series! Cheers Dave
Great I did Upgrade my Cubase 4 Version to Cubase 13 Pro, I can’t wait to check out all this things, I’ve learned in this tutorial 👌👏🥳

I set up a key command for Render In Place. I don't think there's one by default
1:54 I feel personally attacked! Great video once again, though. 😎

Is there a way to delete all automations of a project at once?
