I purchased the lyman case prep express. and it has become the best case prep tool I have. I am planning on getting the dillion power trimmer to round off my caae prep tools. ps I have carpel tunnel and so powering my reloading equipment has become a must.
I have one of these case prep machines and I must say, It's great! There is one concern I have... I notice when using the primer pocket uniform depth tool, the seated primer is recessed below flush. I've loaded 1000, 223 rounds and probably should have test fired a few rounds before committing to so many. Once I get to the range I will report back with an update. Until then, I was wondering if anyone ever had a primer not fire due to the Lyman primer pocket depth tool recessing the primers too deep?
You should think about placing a flat on both side of the large and small pocket cleaning and reaming tools. In this manner you would be able to remove them easily and change from large to small primers in a snap. Yes include the wrench. Even if you add say $5.00 to the price it would make it really sweet. Also you may consider an inside and outside champhering tool in.50 cal. to fit in your case express.
Does the order matter or not? If so, what's the preferred or recommended one? Also, if you're using the flash hole uniforming tool, where should it go in the process? Thanks!
This is junk. It broke on me after 150 cases. The part that makes all the tools spin is plastic and will break sooner than later. Mine ground down and stopped spinning everything, a week after purchase.
Hello there, please reach out to our customer service and they will take care of you, i have already given them a heads up about this situation, sorry for the inconvenience! ask for john!
@@LymanProducts it was easier to return to the store and buy something else. If this product can't hold up to my light use, then maybe stop engineering gears out of plastic. Any power tool these days have plastic shells and metal gears for spinning parts, something that can take the load.
