It’s fine either way. Iv’e worn mine with and without socks and comfortable either way. I would say that thick socks wouldn’t work well as your feet would get too warm.

I wash wool sweaters in dreft or watered down baby shampoo. (There are special wool washes in the knitting world too that are nice)
So what do you recommend to clean the inside? All you said was "I recommend tho..that you do...ummm.. yeah"
