How was this even possible? As a band kid myself from this era, in a neighboring town with a great music program, we knew about these Richardson/Lake Highlands school bands. I can only imagine what the judges at this music festival, possibly from out of state, and not prepared for the excellence, thought when these kids started the opening bars.
