Good Friday Agreement 25th Anniversary Event at University College Cork

Commentary on the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement (GFA) typically and traditionally focuses on how the agreement impacts on Northern Ireland.
However, at the heart of the 1998 Agreement are the principles, institutions and processes which encompass the ‘totality of relationships’ between the islands of Ireland and Great Britain.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, UCC aims to consider the impact of the agreement on the island of Ireland.
Among the highlights of the programme are two keynote speeches from Professor Brendan O'Leary (University of Pennsylvania) and Danny McCoy (Ibec).
