Vangelis should definitely have been awarded the Oscar for this brilliant soundtrack. The movie itself was unworthy of such honors but the music is just out of this world and takes me to places I could only dream of.

But Alexander was great. Back then, it was glorious for lots of killing to be done. Alexander wasn't a man of our time, he was a man of HIS time! Also, he admired the Persians and the Indians. He did have that vision, have you read Arrian? He wanted to unite the world in peace. If that's true, then he was a man before even our own time. Alexander was a good guy, not a bloodthirsty ravager like Hitler.
