I stopped ballet after many years of intensely doing it. I still occasionally practice, just on a more gentle level. The amount of times people have told me ballet or gymnastics is not as difficult as "real sports" or shouldn't be considered a "sport" is insane. It's the most disciplined practice on earth.

Ahh, as a dancer this was so fun to watch! I love watching people try out ballet for the first time💕. Also one of the only leotards I wear is a black tank top one, those are very popular in normal ballet classes!

As a ballet dancer, this video was very aesthetic but this is NOT how life as a dancer looks like. I do really appreciate people liking ballet and making “ballet-core”. Another thing I would like to point out is that I DO NOT recommend wearing jewelry nor makeup (if you really want to, just mascara and blush) and from my own experience, don’t worry if you are feeling judged, trust me, no one is looking at you (unless it’s just you dancing) since everyone is trying to concentrate on their own thing :)

🩰🩰 I started ballet when I was 11 years old, and at the time I thought it was too late to start ballet. I got rlly self conscious abt myself Bc of this bc I felt like I didn’t look or act like the proper “ballerina”. I practiced anytime I could and now I’m at the top of my class! I’m a teenager now and I’ve grown sm confidence in my dance that my whole personality got a glow up! I’m so excited that Fern started ballet Bc it has so many benefits to both ur mental and physical well being, and from the small clips us the viewers got of ur class it looks like u have so much potential. I’m so excited to see YOUR ballet era and I hope u end up loving this form of dance even more than I do!
