As a person who has struggle with weight all my life, it can be all those things this Dr. has brought up. Some people think it is as easy as cutting calories and working out and yes that is the key to losing weight. Some people's bodies are not cooperative. I literally have to starve to lose weight. I work out 3 to 4 times a week and try to eat right most times and my weight does not budge. I was real sick a year or so ago and I ate almost nothing (toast, or crackers) for about 10 days. I lost 10 pounds. I started eating regular again and in 2 days I gained back the 10 pounds. So until you've walked in a fat person's shoes, do not assume it is as easy as cutting calories and working out.

@@REYANNWALTON It is as simple as calories in and out. The trouble people have is they think they can eat high calorie foods or processed foods and feel full on them. Guess what, eat whole foods and lean protein you will lose weight track your calories and you can fine tune it. Don’t make up excuses. No one is starving in a first world country.

@@Luke-tm6oo Not making up excuses. I've had this issue since I was around 7 years old, so you can't tell me it's not genetic. Counting my family of 10, there are 6 of us that has had weight issues all our lives. My best friend and I have to literally eat 500 calories a day to lose and not gain weight. We are both post menopause. So again, please don't judge and say the same thing that just about everyone says.

It's as easy as cutting calories and working out. My father struggled with weight all his life, ballooning up to 550 pounds at his worst, with prospects looking grim in his late 30s after 3 heart attacks. He made some difficult choices, and now he's 70 at 210 pounds.
Turns out, working out and eating right can do fucking wonders for your health. You can cut as many calories as you want, but if you aren't eating right, it doesn't matter how much you cut. Junk is still junk, no matter the calorie count.

This is the kind of doctor you don't go to for good advice. This is 100% a bait video to generate hate clicks, and if it isn't, this dude definitely has a bias in the wrong direction and shouldn't be practicing medicine anymore.

Disagree, it was the nicest way to tell someone to lose weight. They did add a little jab about role model that was uncalled for; but it’s calories in and out. Your message is irresponsible. Obesity is a mental health disorder much like alcoholism.

Not always mental health. Diseases affecting hormones also play a huge role in this.

Uh yeah you can determine someones poor health just by looking at them if they are severely obese, not trying to be mean
