You are taught only operate them now. You get to operate Arriflex 16SR in the first year. If you specialize in cinematography you also get some other camera for operation practice which I have no idea. The exercises on film has been discontinued since 2019.
Hi Brother. Here are some pointers to begin with. - There are no shortcuts. Make your mind to fight it the hard way out. - watch 3-4 films every week. Dont binge watch. Include regional and world cinema if possible. Write about those films analytically for your study. - it's a pg course, so get some basic knowledge about cinema. You can find ample of it on internet. - Read the newspaper everyday. Read the editorial section definitely to get perspective on important issues. - Make a list of your 10 favourite films. Deep study it from acting direction cinematography art direction editing sound everything. Really dig deep on it. - Most importantly, have your own voice and perspective. Your voice and passion for cinema is what will make you stand out from the crowd. Hope it helps :)
