This small stint that he is coaching here is garnering just as much respect that he earned the whole time he coached here. Which is saying something. What a guy Coach Stoops is. We love you.

Regardless of the outcome, it’s going to be great to see Coach Stoops lead the team out onto the field one last time. I don’t know if I have ever seen a retired coach do anything like this before, and Sooner Nation should be eternally grateful to have a guy like Bob around. It’s not a surprise though if you have read his book. This is who he is.
Me and my family will be at the Alamo bowl to yell our heads off for Bob and the Sooners!

I rewatched the 2014 sugar bowl the other day, I didn’t realize how huge of a win that was for the program bama had tons of former and current players on that roster, I can’t wait to see him coach again against Oregon.

Much respect for Thibs and Odom for sticking around, they care for this program so much and they are not be retained.... I hate this for them and respect them taking the high road. Would love for another opportunity (if the time comes) for them to be asked to come back
Interesting insight from Coach Stoops on Brent as young LB coach at KSU and also how BV will be observing bowl prep, not coaching. That makes sense. It will be his show once the final whistle blows.
I ❤ Bob Stoops. He reminds me that integrity is still a key component of leadership. He is such a tremendous representative for OU. I'm so grateful to him for stepping up to the plate again to lead our beloved Sooners.

It amazes me how much Bob Stoops loves Oklahoma. The guy is and has been my favorite coach my whole life. This just proves that my instincts were right. Just like 7-10 years ago they took a poll asking college coaches who's the type of person character wise you'd most want your kid to play for. Bob Stoops won the poll by an overwhelming margin...

I understand he needs to talk up the new coach. They were hit with a storm but OU needs to understand it doesn't have the tradition and history of a Southern Cal. Just the way it is.

Coach handled it the right way & I've never hit a woman in my 66 years as much as I would have liked to.
