I'm taking a CNA course this year for my senior year of High school and not many people, including my family, support me because they think cleaning up after others is gross, however I don't care what they think because this is what I want to do

We're all silly high school students so it is fun lol
Right now we're learning how to make beds, but I'm nervous for when I'm going to do hands on care

as a nurse i am very proud to say over many years i have worked with the most wonderful cna's. they are the eyes and ears of the nurse in charge in nursing homes. however there have been many bad apples in that group. with cameras present to see what is going on is fabulous. their work is as important as nurses, physical therapy, and all who work with the elderly

As a CNA, I think that they should get paid more than a LPN, because CNA's are the back bone in nursing. I give them credit for what CNAs do. It is a tough job. They deal with a lot of crap. Both mentally and physically. You have to have patience when it comes to being a CNA.

Jeffrey McCall LPNs have more education and do more that CNAs can’t which is why they get paid more. This girl should go back to school get her LPN and then become an RN.

Agreed! I see LPNs and RNs sitting at desks laughing and talking to each other, in personal phone calls, telling CNAs to go do something as the CNA walks past with a resident they're already taking care of. CNAs deserve to be PAID!!

Shift change: "Everybody's fine." (Complete with vague hand wave in the general direction of the resident's rooms)

There’s no difference :) different states call it differently but it all means the same thing; a nurse assistant
