I love how well they kept that from us. Also, I love that Zack surviving Shinra's goons before he got to Midgard is equivalent to Aerith and Avalanche dying. The way the Whispers are trying to steer fate is pretty intense.

I was surprised that the game literally starts you off with Zack. Also I wasn’t expecting Tifa and Cloud to be having a bit of drama this early in the game. They both have their reasons to question each other, it’s sad to see but I like that it’s realistic
I was one of the 5 skeptics of this game, but after watching Aruuu play this and seeing what I did... this sort of brings back the magic of the old FF games that I had grown up and fallen in love with. This feels like a true passion project of a game. And that prologue.... I'm still feeling some way about it.
Speaking as someone who beat Rebirth 5 hours ago: It somehow surpassed the hype. It is SO good and I cannot imagine how they could possibly top it in Part 3.

When Cloud went to kill Sephiroth towards the end of Remake, Sephiroth let him get that strike in. That's when the two timelines were separated. I'm not very far into Rebirth right now, but I'm pretty sure Sephiroth is using this new opportunity after the gang defeated Fate and the Whispers to manipulate Cloud into joining the dark side essentially.... my theory anyway

Its crazy to think I got introduced to FF through Kingdom Hearts 2, then again in Smash 4 (Wii U) and for FF7R to be my first ever FF game. Amazing experience. Also super glad to see more of Yuffie. Literally my first fave FF character (Huge help in KH2).
18:10 to me it just makes sense that she brings it up early in the game compared to the OG where she doesn't say anything to anyone about Cloud's skewed memories till near the end

Zack was always more of a strong willed hero than Cloud is right now acting like someone he's not and being plagued by hallucinations of Sephiroth that are now tricking him into believing damn LIES!

Tifa was a pain in the ass in remake. "Cloud be nice", "Cloud do this", "Cloud do that". Cloud is the kind of guy that resonates with someone who has patience and a thoughtful nature like Aerith hence why he opened up around her while he's made zero progress with Tifa. When he said "I guess so" I felt it. It's hard for him to express emotions. It was his way of saying "fuck this" and it's important because it happens before players get to craft a bond with Tifa. It's truly a canon response.
What are you talking about? I'm willing to bet some of this Aerith fans are just playing this game ears and eyes closed, nitpicking about the story and it's so disappointing. You literally just saw Sephiroth saying things to Cloud to doubt Tifa just the previous scene. Did you know why Sephiroth is doing that? Tifa is so important to Cloud and it's a big part of the story later on.

That's some friendship they've got going after the events of the Nibelheik incident and remake part 1 👌 I've finished the game now and it's so heavily biased towards Aerith it's sad. If you play the game and don't bother with Tifa the game chugs along just fine. The opposite can not be said for Aerith. There's so much that happens outside of the players control, especially from chapter 12 onwards. But it's alright, I'll wait for you to tell me how delusional I am 👍
