- Last month, Donald Trump summoned top lobbyists and executives from the oil and gas industry to Mar-a-Lago and proceeded to solicit a $1 billion bribe, multiple outlets report. In exchange, he would basically roll back all climate regulations and let the industry run wild in his second term.

Read the Constitution of the United States. The conduct may not be legally disqualifying, but law and morality is not the same. You do not have to vote for a candidate who has a policy platform you disagree with and that has always been the case in a functioning democracy. "Political quid pro quo?" The Senate didn't convict the first time Trump was impeached because he did not use the phrase "quid pro quo" when Trump tried to extort Zelensky. It was likely the first time Trump became aware of the phrase.
