Had fun watching you edit part of this, it turned out great!
I absolutely *loved* your rant at the beginning there because that is such garbage design when people do that and people need to know that it's not good, so that they can make better things. That was actually potentially a pretty great level without those bits! But any absolutely random deaths or traps that you cannot predict is not good gameplay design. It's just trial and error with no way to skillfully or smartly avoid the death. Not skill based and not clever. There's a difference between making something hard and making something random.
I also enjoyed the Indiana Jones hat and music on the goomba running section there, that gave me a good chuckle. ^_^
P.S. Checkpoints after long difficult bits are also pretty important, so as to not waste someone's time doing the same bit they've already done over and over again. Those are icing on the cake to good level designs.
Thankyou! For me, if it’s a designated troll level then absolutely, place your death doors and hidden blocks wherever you want!
But if you’re going to take a traditional level with great features and *butcher* it with cheap trolls like that then you’ve done the game a disservice.
Oh, fair point, true. A time and a place for everything I suppose. If you're making a troll level that's a different matter. People know what they're signing up for when they go to play those.
Even with those though, the best troll levels are the ones that are clever about it at least, but that's harder and harder to pull off nowadays with so many people doing the same thing over and over. Really good troll levels are hard to find. But not impossible.
Mr A-Game death doors are no fun but this level was great minus the death doors i would like to see a remake without death doors or more of his levels to see if he learned his lesson not to add death doors in good levels would be great and also how old are you and when were you born.

I watch his stuff too, only because I like to see Mario Maker levels, but you are clearly better at the game, and you are much more fun to watch.
I suggested that he should do some 100 man, expert, no skip challenges but he refused.

The first part is to just beat it. The second part is to challenge the record holder or quit the awful ones.
