    The thing I hated in the interview was how Christofer was all like "fuck Brian" at the end but then "Yay I love my fans! I do everything for you guys!" Brian's a fan too and that was just really awful and it makes me mad that Chris would go into an interview high. Also all that shit about being real was a lie because drugs don't make things real. They make you escape from real life so just erghhhhhhh

    Now I understand the Andy thing " I'm a serious artist and I only answer serious artists questions. I also don't wear shoes and I'm a piece of shit."
    Also Fronz mentioning him in the song Callout by Atilla.

    This is all very one sided I think Never Shout Never were assholes for the way they treated him but Bryan was also in the wrong. Bryan knew the new york times were gonna be there and he should have realised that Never Shout Never wanted to talk about music and tours and albums because the stuff he was asking them would have no real interest to the new york times and being in the new york times is a big deal for a band. Even if he didn't realise this initially, when the band started asking for more relevant questions the first time he should have changed the tone of the interview he could have cut that bit where they ask him to be more serious out and carried on the interview to the bands liking then none of this would have happened. As a good interviewer you would think he could at least do that in fact I bet stuff like that happens all the time with other interviewers they just politely agree to change the tone of the interview.

    • @Lilanimevideogirl
      @Lilanimevideogirl 10 лет назад +10

      If you had watched the video the new york times WERE NOT there for nevershoutnever they were there for bryan stars. It was a big moment because as he said he personally picked never shout never for that interview specifically. On top of that as he stated in this video he picks questions based on past interviews and it seems you haven't watched their first interview because it was goofy as hell so thats what he went with. Bryan picks questions based on the people and the bands. This truly was a big moment for bryan he was with people he idolized, he was going to be in the new york times because he had gotten so big on youtube, and he was being himself and to be talked down like that. Having your passion, your lifes work, ALL of your hard work called a joke by someone you idolized, that doesn't feel good no matter the reason. Bryans passion for these interviews is way stronger than anything I've seen. He doesn't HAVE to drive around the country to meet these bands, he doesn't HAVE to spend all the time he does editing his videos to make sure they're perfect for us, he doesn't HAVE to listen to our requests and go interview the bands we ask of him. But he still does it. Bryan isn't getting paid for this a good majority of the time. He does it out of his own free will which stands the point even more that the things that were said, were completely un-called for.
      You obviously don't watch bryan stars often because if you did this is the ONLY time it has happened every other band loves his interviews and always enjoys being on them because they get their message across about their music and what they're all about but still have fun and can be laid back and just let their real personalities out. Its not easy doing what bryan does but he loves doing it and thats all that truly matters.

    • @Lilanimevideogirl
      @Lilanimevideogirl 10 лет назад

      Another thing did you watch this video at all? He explains the question thing literally five minutes in to it -.-

    • @greatfelixo
      @greatfelixo 10 лет назад

      Lilanimevideogirl I can't be bothered to reply to everything you said but my point is that he should have realised the first time never shout never asked for a proper interview to give them one thats fine if he was expecting an interview like the previous one but they made it clear to him they didn't. Bryan was pretty unprofessional about the whole thing and he conducted himself very badly, he let them walk all over him and do stuff like rip up his question cards and he didn't say shit he just laughed awkwardly. I think the fact that he is a fan of the band made it seem pretty unprofessional. also why would he show people himself crying at the end yeh he can say what he likes but it seems to me like he is just begging for people to give him sympathy. p.s yes i have seen lots of interviews with bryanstars and yes lots of the bands enjoy the questions but the point is that never shout never didnt.

    • @v4vendetta37
      @v4vendetta37 10 лет назад +3

      its bryan stars...he does these kinda quirky interviews that combine serious topics with funny ones
      do you want him to sell out and become just another reporter who only asks about the music? lol
      im pretty sure you'ld complain then

    • @greatfelixo
      @greatfelixo 10 лет назад +1

      nope I wouldn't complain he isn't exactly unique loads of interviewers ask dumb questions and that wouldn't be selling out that would be becoming a better rounded/diverse interviewer. There is no value in Bryans interviews you don't learn anything about the band he just makes them all look silly.

    When I watched the interview with Never Shout Never I was honestly pretty pissed that Chris would say that & make Bryan cry. the whole ny times thing , i still would of picked andy and his band bc i mean they are literally the nicest people. to fans. and bryan. and bryan was so nice and sweet to never shout never and if i was the camera person or friend that went w him, i would of literally walked over, picked bryan up, and walked away and if they were like wtf i would say "you're so fucking rude. grow up."

  • @oliviam.883
    @oliviam.883 10 лет назад +3

    I'm proud of you Bryan. I'm proud that you posted the interview and that you made this video. I personally like the goofy questions you ask because to me, the interviews aren't all about their music or career. I believe that a part of the whole reason of the interview is not just to hear about how their music career is going but is to find out what kind of person the artist or who the band really is on the inside and so that their fans find out to see who they are really looking up to or who they are, not what they seem to be and I think your goofy questions along with the serious questions you have prepared do a wonderful job at doing just that! That interview that you did with Never Shout Never shows just what kind of people they are. I'm sure they aren't always like that but Christofer Drew knew that the New York Times would be there and he knew how much this meant to you and he did what he did anyways. You did nothing wrong. You did your job, and they totally sabotaged you and what you do. It was completely disrespectful and rude and you just got to show the world what kind of people they are. Okay wow that was really long and serious and I don't even know if it makes any sense but I just had to let it all out and I know it was a while ago but I just need you to know that. Thank you! You are amazing just the way you are, stay strong! :)

    This video really upsets me. I watch Brian's videos every day and they always cheer me up and make me smile. He works so hard at what he does, and he is really talented in the way his interviews are so unique and you wouldn't be able to find stuff like that anywhere else. He drove seven hours to that interview and the band was so ridiculously rude and stubborn. They know what his interviews are like, and the one they did before was really funny and upbeat. Putting Brian down for what he does was horrible and I hope that Brian reads this so that he knows to keep going because so many people love his videos.

    Is there a reason bryan wears hollister and aeropostale clothes and shit like that? He interviews a lot of scene bands and seems to be really into those bands so is there a purpose for why he dresses like that? Not trying to be mean or a dick or anything, just legitimately curious why that is. Like does he do it as a joke or he just likes those clothes? I would be scared to interview bands like asking alexandria in a hollister shirt and cargo pants honestly.

    For all of you saying its not a big deal or 'Chris said sorry' . Literally are making me sick. Put your self in Bryan's shoes.
    Imagine that you got the opportunity to talk to your favorite artists or band and appear in the worlds most read newspaper with them. so you travel for 7 hours straight for it. Your super excited. But when you get there they start to treat you like shit and ignore you. They say that everything you have to say is a irrelevant and that everything you work for and care about is a joke. They say all of this infront of your best friends and the new york times writer. A simple ' im sorry' doesn't really help with that

    So. If you're going to be an interviewer you have to learn to take a hit. Congrats man somebody doesn't like your style, woop-dee-doo. Yeah he was a jerk but they are serious about their music and told you they wanted serious questions. Don't pin all of this on NSN because you messed up too. Some of your fans get bullied everyday. Get physically hit. Get called names. Get abused. And then they come home only to see their hero crying over getting criticized? What does that teach them?

    Honestly I think Bryan's interview style is brilliant. There are MILLIONS of interviews with bands talking about the serious stuff and the music and art but Bryan's interviews are funny and you get to see more of the band's personality rather than the same questions interviewers ask over and over again that just get the same rehearsed response. People know by now that an interview with Bryan Stars isn't going to be 100% serious but if you have a problem with that then just say no to the interview or don't watch the video. Just my 2 cents.

    i used to fudging idolize nsn because i thought i could relate and that they understood all the crap i was going through when i listened to their music but after this ive realized their just bullies themselves, ive gone through a hard time with bullying since kindergarten and to see some band i idolize bully someone themselves without doing it jokingly, it literally tears my nerves up at one point nsn kept me from killing myself but now i dont know what to think of them :/ literally how could they do that to bryan and be okay with themselves i know they apologized but darn they shouldnt have done it in the first place, not to hate on nsn i still love some of their music i just dont think ill have the same respect for them again, i like that bryan does goofy videos and i look up to him, i hate seeing people hurting and crying when their being bullied knowing the feeling and knowing how many times ive came off of my bus crying my eyes out over stuff like that and knowing the pain you feel from it, it sucks!!!! im just going to be in my corner now.............

    So you guys are blaming Christopher for not being professional but when Bryan could've just simply edited this out instead of causing controversy? Or how Bryan could've just simply taken the hint that Christopher wanted to talk about music instead of constantly asking him more ridiculous questions? And SOMEHOW you keep saying that you want to be true to your fans, well be true to your fucking self because Christopher Drew and his band wanted to talk about their music, like any other band, you shouldn't expect EVERY band to have the same personality.. You can ask anything you want because it's your show, but you should expect criticism for asking such questions when right off the bat, the first question you ask is what their pornstar name would be.. Then Christopher later asks when they can talk about music.. He then explains his feelings towards that interview and wants his band's art is be taken seriously yet you take this way out of proportion when Christopher LITERALLY said on that SAME INTERVIEW that he has no hard feelings towards you and that he puts the same passion into what Bryan does. He didn't call Bryan's show a joke... he called Bryan in genial a joke that he hasn't asked any questions INVOLVING their music.. Just accept different opinions. Jesus Christ, this is what's wrong with the world. You can't learn and accept, this is exactly why homosexuals couldn't be accepted or different races. People can't accept. Don't hate on what you ca't understand because any person who could accept, would know to move on and enjoy what makes you happy, Bryan could've moved on and accepted but nope. Christopher didn't even see a problem to begin with because he said no hard feelings and only said what he felt yet he has to apologize for that..
    Ah. Just ah.

      @chelsiiiwhoo4030 9 лет назад

      Heh. I find that funny because a video 6 months ago was posted of them reuniting with Christopher and Bryan HIMSELF, he said he only added the crying part and the self demeaning only because he wanted some attention on his side because he felt angry that a person he looked up to SPOKE HIS MIND.
      God forbid that people lie about their feelings.. Hint to what Christopher Drew did.
      He spoke his feelings.. Oh you want him to lie when the interviews purpose and the questions and how the questions made him feel?
      But apparently it's perfectly fine for Bryan to cry and banter about his feelings.
      Have a nice day c:

He had a point too. Yes he's changed. Of course he was different when he was 19. He's just more into serious now, which u guess shows you can't Assume he's the same old 19 year old you remember.
