    My "dred" is a Martin 00-DB Jeff Tweedy. LOVE it. Installed a Fishman pickup to gig out with.

    I had a 1968 Gibson Dove with a one piece back. It was beautiful and sounded great. Maple.

    FG5 is not Rosewood model.. It is Mahogany. and A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhanced) Sitka spruce with scalloped hand carved bracing...Made in Japan (FG3 made in China) Noticeably better sounding than the FG3 with higher build quality.. It is an updated and upgraded model very similar to the old Yamaha FG-180 Red Label 50th Anniversary limited edition model from 2016 also made in Japan.

    I lean toward Martin, Gibson, Guild acoustic /electric 00 size guitars. Like those Eastman Mandolins. Does Eastman make an acoustic electric F Style Mandolin with volume & tone knobs ? If not , they should. (IMO) Thanks for the video's. 🎸🎸🎸

    Small business Saturday is the 25th, right? Instead of the 26th as mentioned in the video? The 26th is a Sunday. Just wanted to clarify. Thanks!

      You’re educating me again. I actually didn’t thing sapele, which is the back and sides part, right, was considered a solid wood, instead I thought it was just some collection of woods laminated together. Oh well.. I do love learning all this stuff…Thanks,. Always look forward to your podcasts, esp Thursdays.

    Is there a ❗️TV in the background or someone on the phone? 😮
    That is so annoying

  • @ManchurianCounterweight
    @ManchurianCounterweight 10 месяцев назад +2

    One piece backs on guitars do not look good. That is the primary reason most builders do not do this. There is also cost savings with two piece, and you have a hell of a lot more wood to choose from as well, also, more structural stability with a two piece. And it would sound no better than a two piece. SO there is literally just about no reason to ever do this. That is why they are not seen.
