Congrats on the sales award. I bought a E20OO-SB from you guys recently and I'm loving it. I have to say, that all sound and look great, but that maple leaf in the 622 looks even better than the full bling on the 922. Really classy and understated.

I couldn't resist buying one of these new Eastman AC522CE guitars. I'm glad I did because they are great alternatives to Taylor's. I have owned a bunch that of Taylor guitars so I can speak to a direct comparison. These Eastman are outstanding quality instruments and sound great. The arm rest is very comfortable and the sound port is valuable. I recently sold my Taylor 314ce and 214e DLX and am loving the Eastman instead. I wasn't sure about a Chinese guitar but, Wow am I impressed.

I purchased an Eastman AC622CE from you guys a couple of years ago and it's a wonderful guitar for fingerstyle chord/melody work. It also looks great!

Out of all these, for value / sound it seems to me the AC222 is an amazing option.

Lucas Haneman has a channel where he blind tests the AC222ce against a Taylor 914ce, you can find it on RUclips and listen/test yourself, both are beautiful instruments but for me, incredibly, it was the 222 that I preferred. It was insanely good!

Beautiful guitars, great overview and tone samples!
I would be really interested in seeing/hearing a comparison between these guitars and comparable Furch grand auditoriums.
Thanks again for all of the great content you provide!

I have your range of 9 cutaway guitars bracketed. My two Eastman cutaways are a DT30-GACE and a PCH3-GACE. One of the more amazing things about Eastman is how the upper register frets on their instruments are absolutely perfectly intonated. I tried my darnedest to justify getting an AC622CE but since I already own a Breedlove Focus Concert Maple cutaway, I basically would have been buying the Eastman for the gorgeous maple leaf inlays, which are a work of art. I came extremely close to pulling the trigger before coming to my senses (?).

I might have missed it, but tone-tight on the 922? Thanks for a great video!

great vid as always, gents-informative and nicely presented. what are y'all's thoughts on eastman's business model of recreating iconic and important american models and profitting from that? i own 2 eastman tradional series acoustics now, and i am highly impressed-and beyond satisfied-with my guitars, so i'm no hater. i have gone back and forth recently with comparisons of eastman to the standard series of THE major american models, and have been disappointed with, namely fit and finish (not necessarily tone), and am a new convert to eastman. i realize eastman is not the first company to go by this business model of copying, refining, and making more affordable iconic american guitars. i am just curious about TAS's philosophy on such a business model, other than the fact that it satisfies your customer base, and is good for business. i know, it's convoluted question-but i'm sure you have your honest opinions! one more thing: do you have access to any videos showcasing the eastman beijing factory, or documentaries featuring their fine craftsmen and women? i'd love to peek into that world......

Thanks for the great description. Will the upper soundhole make a difference for live shows in small bars (but still with lots of noise)?

I wish you'd have mentioned the battery location and that ease of access. Or not. How are you mic'ing up the additional tone-hole? You remember seeing those neckbraces, right? Big white cattle-collar devices... I'm thinking I'll need to buy those to take advantage of this new sound location. Or maybe just have a boom-mic minus the boom - I'll dangle it from my earlobe. Yeah... that'll be okay, right?

18th subscriber LIKE clicked; 209th desktop studio listen & view about to happen. The 'Taylor look-alike' is pretty obvious, shape & pickguard style.
I prefer the Eastman tone. (I once owned a 'cannon' that was an early 2000s Taylor 810).

Doubting between the AC522CE or the AC722CE.. Mahogany vs Rosewood! Looking for an acoustic guitar to play Jazz on. Something other than my semihollow plugged in.
    Anyone have any recommendations? 😊

OMG! You’re playing the guitars without labeling which one your playing.

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  27 дней назад

I realize we probably should've labeled them in retrospect but for this instance we just went in order that we reviewed the series. So it starts at the 122, then the 222, the 322, ect.

I don't think I'd like being blasted in the face by a Tone Port. I'm not a fan of the radiused top either.

They are built in China indeed. Price may indeed be over the top. I like the sound though. Also find it hard to do bar chords on the classical pch1-gace. Even the seller had that opinion...after i had used it for 2 weeks. Bit weird imho.
