Great video, I was thinking about getting some myself. Do you think your XK will clear them? I have an XK myself and the fact it's quite low at the front is what has stopped me getting some
Been thinking about some of these for oil change on my Audi A3 thanks for the video good too know my car will get onto em without catching bumper judging off how Ur bumper didn't catch coz Ur cars low too
Tried using some ramps for the first time last week to change an exhaust and they just don't lift the car high enough to do any real work and I still felt like I had to put a jackstand underneath it just in case they collapsed. Would be ok for an oil change where you don't really have to go underneath the car I guess.
Sorry to comment in a negative way but.....the sealey ramps have a weight capacity of 1500kgs? The xkr is just shy of 1600kgs!? Tyres are wide also, not sure if this would impact much or not!? Cheers.
I would use jack stands with any ramps... back in the old days, i had an old set of metal ramps fold (luckily slowly) while under my 72 dodge charger (heavy engine). I know these are a totally different design and materials, but i would never trust ramps alone again.
I have to say I would actually have to see someone under the car before I would be convinced the working height was sufficient. The metal ramps I am looking to replace have a lift height of 260mm and that is what I would regard as a minimum (others may be happy with less). These look to me as though they are noticeably lower than that. The total height for these is given as 215mm by Sealey and that is the overall height. They probably provide a lift height 10 to 15mm less once the height of the end stop is deducted from the overall dimension. I am curious as to why there was no footage of someone actually working under the car using these ramps if an oil change was being carried out at the time of filming.

Hello, Yes, they do clear the front bumper on the Jaguar XK (X150). 😊👌👍 Check out the photo I've just posted in the community section.
@@life_on_cars just checked out the picture. Many thanks for that 👍
Nice one . Useful clip. Thanks

Nice! Somewhat off topic, but for the Jag do you recommend doing the oil change from below via draining, or from above via suction vacuum pump?
Good question. Both will work however the filter is underneath next to the sump plug so you will need to get underneath anyway 😉
@@life_on_cars good to know thank you!

What’s the height of the wheel off the ground on the ramp
How much do these raise the car by? (I think the measurements include the stopper)
*New Subscriber* : That was great. Greetings from prague, CZ
Welcome aboard!

1500 each - total 3000 . 1:47 👍
@@life_on_cars perfect answer. may just buy some myself with that information 😁👍

Always good to reduce risk to the minimum 👍 thanks for watching
If I had a set of those I would completely fill the underside cavities with expanding foam.

@alessandromassidda6391 yes it will be fine
I've an ST and wandering this too, how did you get on?
To Low..big guy never fit under there..😂
😅 it's not too bad honestly
does the height is enough?
