It looks like a compelling product. Would be curious after driving a few thousand miles of your assessment on its longevity and efficacy. Also, this unfortunately isn't compatible with the Quick Bandit front license plate mount which also uses the front grille to mount.
Interesting and as usual a carefully produced video. When you say left side, you mean right side and vice versa - but I understand the logic of that as the pictures clearly show it. The passage area for the air is unfortunately reduced as the outermost hexagons are filled with plastic. Half of this plastic part covers some of the original grill area. I would consider that a disadvantage, as the air passage is already reduced by the steel mesh.
When I said left side, I was referring to the viewers point of view. Which is the car's right side. Yes, when looking at 5:18, there is about an inch or so reduced on both sides. Whether you feel this is acceptable or not, is definitely up to you.
I prefer the look of this honeycomb grill and love the protection that it provides to the radiator, but I can't buy one because I live in a stupid state that requires a front license plate. All of the good Tesla front plate holders attach to the horizontal factory grill. You're lucky that you don't need that.
Interesting, I didn't even think about front plate frames. It's been 17 years since I lived in a state that required one. I don't miss that at all! Oh, congrats on 9k subs!
Same here. I'd have to get a different plate holder. They do have ones, for many cars actually, that fit into the hole for the towing hook. It is asymmetric. This does change the look a bit which could be a + or -. I wonder if a variation could be made to fit behind the grill or inside/under the frunk somewhere.
recommend this because after 50,000 miles, there will be tons of leaves/dirt, debris inside on top of the condenser. You can fill it in a whole bucket. That will reduce the A/C effectiveness.

@@MTNRanger Thank you! Congrats to you too! Looks like you'll be passing me up any day now!

@@AlanHerrlich You would have to remove the front bumper to access the space behind the grille. Removing the radiator cover isn't easy either.
looks sharp
Thanks!
進氣量絕對會受到影響,散熱效果變差
裝上後,裡頭的開關閘口會處於長時間開啟狀態,因為進氣量不夠
@@user-js6sk4qf1y I still think it’s worth installing since it keeps leaves and debris from entering and possibly damaging radiator.
It seems like you are reducing your air flow by a lot with this and that could cause some overheating problems.
I doubt there is much difference in air flow. Having less leaves and debris in the radiator more than makes up for it.
@@MTNRanger would be curious to learn if supercharging fans/cooling stay on noticeably longer or if it's unaffected
@@CodingMark1 Fan use is so variable that it would be hard to make a good test of this. I really doubt it makes much of a difference to the air flow.
Reducing airflow?? Very doubtful
It's going to clog up in the winter with frozen snow and ice.
Would be nice to dechrome the window trim
I like the chrome.
What happens when you have a front license plate required in your state?
Unless you use a plate mount that doesn't attach to the intake grate, this insert will probably not work for you.
Model X?
What do you mean? It says Model 3 in the title.
Is there one for model x
@@tedhu262Unfortunately I only see them for the Model 3 and Y.
The fit looks poor along the top.
Probably a stupid question as you made this video but do you recommend this 😜👍
Sorry if I wasn't clear in the video. I liked it a lot and do recommend it.
@@MTNRanger No worries 👍. Stupid question from me 😜
