Reading, and discovering non-party line books, changed their perspectives and their lives, but literacy (and the encouragement of creative thinking/expression) isn't a given in some places in Indonesia. When these factors are put in context, it makes what this band is doing (and what they've had to overcome) all the more remarkable!
