As a guitarist I used to think the same thing. Sometimes there’s an art in simplicity though. Writing a full coherent song can be difficult. But I still do agree, I do wish they did a little more riffing at least in the album.

Why on earth do they still have two guitarists? I mean their stuff was never insanely complex or anything, but as a guitar player this album is a huge letdown. Hard to believe that the main songwriter is the lead guitarist lmao. Not a single memorable riff in 47 minutes WOW
ever thought thats because of the fact that this album was very clearly more focused on dannys return vocally..
also 2 guitarists playing mostly the same thing sounds aloooot better then one, have you ever heard a band with one guitarist when they do solos aswell? sounds quite weak without the rhythm, same can be said for harmonies which they do regularly
Josh Scott There are exactly zero guitar harmonies or solos on this album though. Yeah it sounds better live, but they have a massive backing track as is, might as well put a guitar in there. On the albums Ben plays all the guitars anyways so it doesn't matter

The Mighty Het this album is about vocals and lyrics because of Danny's return. Hence why the instrumental side is quite lacking. It's all in the pocket to keep the vocals in the front

ExtrañoS That's simply nowhere near the truth. This album is very lacking instrumentally but their previous albums all have some decent riffs and Reckless And Relentless has some leads buried in the mix.

It may not be as sexy as back then but this is still beautiful I've been supporting AA since 2009 im 17 yrs old im definitely going to the concert and buying the VIP passes fuck a Christmas gift this will be it for me because if I don't who knows AA will never come to Vegas ever this will be my first AA concert they have been such a huge impact on me and the way I look at things in life they have kept me motivated and inspired to always bmx till the day I am not here along with korn.

Bands are allowed to become more mature and change their interests to fit larger audiences." Fuck that. I listen to a band because I like the music they make. I listen to their next album because I expect them to make more music that I'll like. No one does THEIR music like THEM, and no one ever will. From death to destiny was different but it was still pretty good, even if it was hardrock-core (Im not gonna mention the black, that was an atrocity).If I wanna hear radio friendly dad rock, I'll listen to the foo fighters. I listen to AA to thrash. If they wanna make rap music then they need to make a rap band, not just put it in their already successful metal bands history forever.
