I'm thinking about getting one of these. But I'm concerned about replacement parts. How well do they hold up? And have you had to get replacement parts? How easy were they to come by and where did you have to get them?
I have some questions, if you can answer please: 1. How long does the battery last on a charge, approximately? Is it around 10min or over 20min ? 2. Can it be used indoors? I mean, is the steering and throttle sensitive enough to handle low speeds? I only saw videos of it running at high speed on gravel.
20mins 'racing' - 2s. Indoors isn't really large enough unless you have access to a hall. maybe on 1s. The shock upgrade is essential for racing. The chassis is too bouncy on the bk end with the stockers.
Hey man, nice vid. Noticed that your front shocks are mounted to the inner holes on the front suspension arms. Is that the factory position or you changed it. Also, as all these small cars with friction dampers tend to be very bounce on surfaces that are not 100% smooth, have you found that by moving shocks inwards on the lower arm, it is noticeably better in that regard? Thinking of getting one but can't be bothered changing to oil filled shocks.
what are the differences between this and the original gt24 series? are the parts interchangeable like internals, aluminium shocks, suspension arms, 2s lipo pack etc? can the subaru body fit on the gt24r body posts?
Jovan T everything is the same, but the Subaru is not as wide as the original gt24 so the suspension arms, driveshaft and body wont fit. Shocks and lipo pack will fit.
Wonderful video. Why do you think companies make these little 1/24 scale models only for a period of time and then discontinue them after a couple of years? You know what I mean? Seems to happen a lot.
The first 1/24 carisma models have very bad design in spur gear, because the stupid plastic spur gear slips very easy and the teeths wear out very very fast after some full throttles in slippery tile. If this subaru has exactly the same design like the first chassis model , is very bad. I have the Carisma GT24T and i was very dissapointed because of the very soft plastic spur gear. You can't play hard witht these models. My miniz 1/24 rwd dosen't have any problems with the high grip tyres. I haven't wear my gears yet after so many full hard throttles. So anyone know to tell if this subaru has the same design like the first chassis ?
If there was something I missed that you would like to know please feel free to ask!
What brand is the other one you suggested in the video? For around the same price.

No, he's just being honest
Thank you for addressing the red light on the charger Could not find an answer to that anywhere
