My First Bonsai

  • The local garden center had a class on making bonsai so I decided to take it. This video showcases the one I made. (Unfortunately it died.)
    The Norfolk Island Pine would have been at the bottom of the barrel for my choices of what to use, as they do like more hydration than other typical plants used in bonsai. I'm hoping to set up more bonsai in the future which I would be able to better keep alive.

      I know what you mean. The translation of bonsai means “ tray planting” or “planted in a container”, but we know that it has to be a miniaturized tree. I don’t think Norfolk Island Pines work well for a good bonsai but that’s what they provided.
