Now I have a question re printing bright colours on a black sweatshirt- what's the secret to not losing the brightness? I have a beautiful design that came out Great on white- but was dull on black :( I'm sure there must be a work around! 🤞
I haven’t tried this personally because I don’t do POD clothes, I only do POD mugs……I’ve seen a couple POD RUclipsrs recommend duplicating your design, changing the color to a solid off white color, and then hiding that layer underneath your original design so that the POD printer has to put a white layer first before printing your design on top. The solid white underneath makes the colors more vibrant vs printing directly in black. It’s kind of like repainting a black wall to red…you need a white primer to hide the darkness of the black underneath. I hope that makes sense 😊
I keep getting different info…most are saying we don’t have to change the automatic 72 dpi (Detour Shirts w/Juno and Fixed Points w/Jay they are still using the bigger designs tho just leaving dpi) and then Heather Studios recently said Printify changed their sizes smaller?? And she would be updating all her videos with that info. Instead of using the 5,000x5000 for square or 4,500x5,400 most use to get a rectangular design. I’m nervous which one do we use to ensure the print item is correct. Can you clarify?
