- In a surprising revelation that sent shockwaves through the Cowboys' fanbase, Terrence Williams, a former wide receiver for the team, disclosed his preference for Tony Romo over Dak Prescott, the current quarterback. The revelation sparked intense debate and speculation among fans and media alike, as they sought to understand the reasons behind Williams' unexpected choice.
As the news broke, the air buzzed with curiosity and intrigue. Cowboys enthusiasts, ever passionate and fiercely loyal, eagerly awaited Williams' explanation, yearning to uncover the insights that had led him to favor Romo, the revered veteran, over Prescott, the young and promising signal-caller.
With the stage set, Williams stepped forward, ready to shed light on his preference. In a candid and thought-provoking interview, he delved into the intricacies of his decision, offering a glimpse into the factors that had shaped his opinion.
Williams reflected on his time playing alongside Romo, recounting the camaraderie and chemistry they had developed on the field. He reminisced about the deep connections they forged, the uncanny understanding they shared, and the countless memorable plays they orchestrated together. Their shared experiences had left an indelible mark on Williams, forging a bond that transcended the game itself.
Additionally, Williams highlighted Romo's exceptional ability to read defenses and make split-second decisions. He praised Romo's uncanny knack for dissecting opposing teams' strategies, his audacious audibles at the line of scrimmage, and his fearless approach to taking calculated risks. In Williams' eyes, Romo's football IQ and his ability to orchestrate the offense with finesse were unmatched.
Furthermore, Williams acknowledged Prescott's undeniable talent and potential. He applauded Prescott's strong arm, mobility, and leadership qualities, recognizing the bright future that lay ahead for the young quarterback. However, he believed that Romo's experience, coupled with his deep understanding of the game, gave him the edge in certain crucial aspects.
As Williams concluded his explanation, he expressed a profound respect for both quarterbacks and emphasized that his preference was based on personal experiences and the unique dynamics he had shared with Romo. He acknowledged the subjective nature of such preferences and the fact that others might hold different views.
Williams' revelation set off a passionate discourse among Cowboys fans, prompting heated discussions across social media platforms, sports talk shows, and fan forums. Opinions were divided, with some echoing Williams' sentiments, while others staunchly defended Prescott as the future of the franchise.
In the end, Terrence Williams' revelation served as a reminder of the complex and deeply personal nature of player preferences. It highlighted the connections forged on the gridiron, the intangible qualities that can sway allegiances, and the enduring impact that teammates can have on each other's careers.
As Cowboys fans eagerly debated the merits of Romo versus Prescott, they found themselves immersed in a captivating discussion that showcased the unwavering passion and loyalty that defines the Cowboys' faithful.

Loved watching Romo! This organization did not help him at all. Cowboys started drafting well towards the end of his career, stuck him with Garrett. Romo and this defense 🔥
Cowboys had a NFL record 13 Pro Bowlers in 2008. Romo was the QB ✭ ✭ ✭
I was like what is this guy talking about?! Hahahah!! Cowboys could have won with Romo too but he always messed up in the big moment ... Seattle comes to mind .. but
@@sacballa_kills_em_wit_facts yea tough losses for his rookie starting yr and 2nd year. Close games but not bad for being undrafted
@@DanWangTheMan 🤣🤣🤣
I would never forgive the Cowboys for Hiring Garrett and not Sean Payton 🤦🏽♂️
If tony had this defense he would’ve had a ring
Facts
Facts he had a top 10 defense once
The problem with that is it contradicts "the QB is why a TEAM wins".
Romo had a TOP defense when Wade was HC in his first year. 🤔
I like Romo too, but it is not that simple.
With Noah, a recovering Gallup, no Witten, and CeeDee, it isn't automatic.
Some QBs are allowed that freedom and others are not.
But this also means Romo has to take more responsibility for the losses with this statement.🤷🏿♂️
That’s a fact
No tf he wouldn't! Uh oh Romo played hero ball. He had to be the hero so Uh oh Romo would've done something to sabotage the defense! GTFOH!
Tony was also one of the best QBs in the pocket he was able too make plays behind the line without protection better than most QBs are able too. Tony knew how too move around and buy time for a receiver too get open Tony always kept his eyes down field one of the best
Yessss aaron rodgers and big ben and brady even had this skill
He was a choke artist not to mention the interceptions
Sucks Tony’s body failed him at the end. He started to figure it out in 2013-14.
He could of still played they just picked dak over him like dummies so now the cowboys will never get over the hump they’ll lose in divisional game for another decade… 😂😂😂
It's what happens when you get mediocre coaching and a bad OL for years
I miss Tony Romo
Tony was a freaking magician out there. The man put in major work. T Will was there, he knows.
As a former player and a cowboy fan, this is great content. This is locker room talk. I have always believed Tony Romo was a better quarterback than Dak.
Listen, ya'll gonna think I am crazy but I would take Tony over Troy...put Romo on those teams Troy had with Emmitt, that offensive line, and the defense Troy had.....plus we can't forget, Troy was a #1 pick, Dak 4th rd, Tony was UNDRAFTED...Even Troy himself said Tony was better than he was
Without a doubt.romo is was way better
Romo was a gun slinger tbh made it fun to watch.
To win on taking Romo
I been saying Tony got better QB knowledge while dak is more athletic. They are similar when it comes to making dumb decisions.
Another Romo WR coming out with truth after its all said and done and telling everyone how great he really was! Love it
I like Dak and Romo was a gamer but T-Willis is spot on with calling out the coaching...
Romo not winning a SB... man that sucks. Not appreciated in his time. Romo was a beast
Tony was a menace, if he had a defense like this, i personally think he would win a chip.
Great video Law🙏🏾 hearing ex-Cowboys players talk about the in and out is gold 😀
Great vid Law but Boss Cowboy was doin too dam much..😂💯
Your Right!!! So Damn Extra with the SOUND EFFECTS !!🤦
No bullshit
For real!! Like Makin extra noises for no reason lol
Tony was better. He could see the field, recognize defensive coverages in a nano second, or even before the ball was snapped. Dak does not have that gift. Also, ever notice how Tony could still get Dez the ball even after he'd lost a step and had trouble gaining separation from defensive backs. Even in tight windows Tony would put it where Dez could get it. Dak would only throw it to Dez if he was wide open. That led to less balls coming his way, and eventually his release. Dez was very hard for DBs to tackle in the open field, but if you can't get him the ball what good is he ? It still pains me that so many short sighted Cowboy fans gave all the credit to Dak in 2016, when we had the best offensive line, and running game in the entire NFL, which allowed him to succeed, and fooled lot of people in to thinking Dak was actually better than Tony. But Jones listened to the noise and gave in to the pressure from talking heads to stick with Dak because things were working out beautifully. I believe we would have won at Home against Green Bay in the playoffs that year if Romo played.
Like back shoulder fades. Something dak can rarely do
Tony threw guys open. Dak never has
If prime tony had some of these teams dak had we would have won two super bowls by now
Hell yeah we would
These are facts people forget each year he was top 5 quarterback without question
@dakdelusionalfans3367 That is true, but players are judged based off of playoff performances. Nobody has mentioned that he was facing the #1 defense on their turf. This is why playcalling & decision making has been looked at.
@@jasonwhite4097 but knowledgeable football fan look at the situation Romo had no defense in playoffs but supposedly one year win Brett farve torch them it is a cop out to Blame play calling every OV call bad plays or plays that don’t work it’s the quarterback job not to make a bad play worse and not to make a bad decision and protect the ball watch Brock Purdy do it in same game
I enjoyed the interview. I loved what he had to say about Romo.
We love Romo!
Broooooo wooooow I’m happy to hear this but mad that I was right about what we’ve been seeing 🤦🏾♂️
That’s not accurate. You expecting a 4th round rookie to come in and question coaching? Dak only played with dude for two season and terrance was sideline in 2018 due to foot injury. So you happy for what exactly?
but the thing is, TW said "tony gonna do it", but he uhhhh...never did it, so im kinda confused.
Tony was 8-8 3 years in a row Dak has had one losing year since starting and he broke his leg. When did he have these nostromis mind just before retiring because he lost plenty. And a lot late in games.
Romo was my guy…I think he should’ve returned as the starter after he drove us straight down the field for a Td against the Eagles…I know the league is a meritocracy but imagine Romo as qb with one of those teams from 2017/2022 with this defense we probably would’ve won a Super Bowl by now…
2016,2019,2021,2022
He going off Tony being a vet already. He played with a young Dak. So his information is going to be biased. Why will a 4th round rookie come in and question coaches play calling. Dak came in winning so why fix something that’s not broke at the moment. He only played with Dak for two season.
He mentioned that in the interview. That was the advantage, Romo was 7-8 years in.
Remember… Romo was undrafted and had confidence in his abilities. I’m sorry but I don’t always see that confidence in Dak.
@@hectorpadilla6480I love Dak but you are absolutely right!! Thing I think is different is Tony Romo seemed to not care what people said about him. Dak actually does even when he says he doesn’t. I still believe in Dak
@@tyrelleaton8063 Me too. Big Cowboy fan here and I want Dak to succeed. I respect Dak alot but I just haven’t seen that killer instinct in him.

@@skohlz87 was his thumb hurt in 2021 Romo won more games than lost trying to carry the team dak didn’t have to carry the team just don’t lose the game
No way Tony wasn’t supposed to get his job back! When Dak went on that run he did a great job but he was the backup! No way he had seen enough to be the starter! Costed Jerry a Super Bowl run!
I agree
1st quarterback to lose his job to injury and not being out played
Man Romo was hurt 3 times in the span of a half a game in the last 3 games he played. His body was done. No one has ever mentioned that part. Romo would have came back and gotten hurt again before the year was over.
@@GoneFishin610 no you can’t predict he would have got hurt what if you predicted he didn’t get hurt
@@dakdelusionalfans3367 I would bet a million dollars he gets knocked out for the season again
Anybody who knows anything about football knows without a doubt, Dak cannot hold Romo's jock strap.
Big facts.
😂😂agreed
I mean he can hold it to put in washer
If Tony played today Dallas would have won the last TWO superbowls
Bruh boss cowboy need to chill with the noise omg dude almost ruined it wouldn't be quiet dude act like he couldn't mute his mic smh
THE DEBATE IS OVER. ROMO'S MENTALITY IS MORE REBEL THAN DAK. LOVE DAK BUT HE'S JUST BEEN THE OBEDIENT SON.
No he wasn't
This is where a football mind comes in. Blame goes to coaches and the OC but the players execute. If you see something then change the play. Dak needs to do that. I remember cooper going to dak when he noticed a cb sitting on a route. He told dak to change the play, next thing you know its a TD.
Real cowboys and football fans already knew this
The thing about it for those who saw this entirely he never said Dak wasn't good. The whole team was impressed with Dak. More respect on Tony he has been doing it longer with more knowledge.
True
Plus Romo had way less talent on defense and Offensive line
Boss was too excited....Lol...the sound effects
I would have loved to have seen what Romo would have done with the team Aikman had.
Would have loved to see him with zeke and o line of travis, zack and tyron in their prime
Superbowl bound every year damn near lol.
Easy multi Super Bowl
Romo wins the last two Super Bowls. Tony never had an office of line and he never had a defense. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen him take the lead late in the fourth quarter only for the defense to give up a touchdown to the other team in 30 seconds.
@@bwojak3226and then they still blamed Romo.
Can ya'll let that one dude know that ad libs and laughing and all those goofy sounds when the interviewee is speaking is not appreciated by the listeners? We're trying to hear what this man has to say. And no doubt you're going to make a smart assed, snarky reply but I still want to point this out.
Awesome insight from Williams!! Boss Cowboy hyperventilating the whole time Terrance was talking was annoying
Someone need to take his effects button away from him
all those interception that romo had were for the risk he was willing to take, great athletes take risk, that what you have to do sometimes to achieve, unfortunately the team then didn't build for romo that well or build around him efficiently
This what y’all do 😂… boss over there looking like Keke Palmer 🤦🏽♂️🦅🦅🦅🦅… shout-out to y’all tho good video
Sounds like we need better play callers 😂
I've been saying that for a few years now. Dak isn't on Tony's level but with an elite OC he could get over that hump.
All the Interceptions to the side Romo was a smart great QB
Tony has a lower INT% than Staubach and Aikman

Did you lose your train of thought because Eli was a below average QB who's biggest claim to fame is that he was carried by the defense to 2 SB wins.
Tony Romo with this year's roster or even last year or the year before roster I believe would have made at least one super bowl
The front office didn't help Tony until it was too late!! 2016 was for Romo, but his body was already worn out!!
Love TW giving Romo love, Romo was awesome he made average teams great, Dak makes great teams average.
Ask Dez Bryant who he preferred.

He caught Tony's last td on Philly:(
Tony Romo would be a lethal OC in today's game. Maybe 1 day he'll get the itch and leave the booth 🤔....nah 😂

One of the first games I went to in person. The wind got sucked out of stadium and it felt like someone cut off the song before it was supposed to end.
@Like100Strong agreed, but the truth hurts. We know Romo knows the game on an elite level. We hear it in the way he announce the game. Hopefully Dak will play better since he have better wrs and a different play caller.

Dan Bailey wasn’t making a kick from that far. I never put the full blame on Williams for that.

Excellent interview my guy! Yes, Tony would of been great coach.
I agree that Tony should be coaching, but I’m struggling comparing him to Dak. I like both QBs but both gave me post season heartburn. Danny White was more successful. He got us to NFC championships games.
This why I want Tony Romo as our OC oh my God
Having said that, I must also admit that Dak has come a long way and since the Eagles game he has played the best I've ever seen in his career. I believe the game has slowed down for Dak, and if he stays healthy an MVP award is not a stretch, but he'd rather win a Super Bowl for Dallas and the fans.
If Tony had the defense during those years we would have been the dynasty
Let's talk about the INT he had against the Giants when we were 13-3 and they went on to win the Superbowl that year
What about it? lol
I think if Dak is given the power to call whatever he wants, oh my!! Much respect to Romo. Too bad the coaching staff didnt have that same tenacity.
Really? The same guy that after years of Pop Warner, high school and college and 6 years of pro football thought it was a smart idea to spot the ball himself? Dak calling his own plays? I don't see him able to do that.
@@greezythumb I'm not saying a whole play book, simple stuff like tuck and run instead of forcing throws. As for spotting the ball I would of forgot too if I was that close to winning the game, plus whoever was in his ear didn't tell him either. Not making excuses for him, that was said after a year in the league media was like will he be given the leverage to change a play or just go with the plays called!
Nah man Dak starts to panic if he can't get the ball to his first read. We'll see how these playoff games go, he's got an easy road to the Championship game. So let's see what he does but if he blows it like he has in the past then he's gotta go.
@@Frank-pc2rs I think he's been a little better and buying time with his mobility to get past that 1st read, in my opinion ofcourse! Now is not the time for him to revert back to old habits, foot on the gas time now!
@@deltonsr I was actually going to put that in my comment. That sometimes he bails himself out of panic mode with his legs but doing that against elite defenses is a different story. He's not the fastest guy and has been caught from behind many times.
I always had romos back and hated to watch his career end the way it did. However, his prowess for the game shows in his commentating.
What kept Romo from getting a ring? Jerry Jones did.
T. Will who should have gotten out of bounds in a game lol but he on point tho once Romo learned Dez they one two punch was unstoppable cause he knew he could count on Dez to catch the ball or either get pass interference just by him throwing it up to him & honestly Dak to Gallup is the same way but Dak doesn't understand that now he didn't when he had Dez & he don't now with Gallup smh but once Dak ( hopefully McCarthy tells him) where to truly go with the ball & be confident about it along with his receivers and tight end being on the same page it's going to be ova no 🧢 but go cowboys ⭐
Someone should have hit the mute button on the dude freaking out and using sound effects while Terrance was starting...quite disrespectful. The sounds he was making...wow, I know he is excited but cmon guys you are all well known and when you have Cowboys on your panel...please be professional fellas. Peace...great stuff. I understand the guy being excited and I get it, just try to at least mute yourself if you can't contain it lol. Peace.
Not bad of a video and yeah man, Tony would of help Dak even more, maybe as a mentor or whatever position. Right now, I hope Dak does what Romo couldn't, go further into the playoffs. Great video bro 😊
You know Daks rookie year, Romo didn’t help him or mentor him. It was Mark Sanchez who mentored Dak not Romo.
@@lord-marroking1315that’s not trienot true

Even with Tony Romo out of the building, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott maintains he had a strong relationship with the departed franchise legend.
I mean, Tony did an amazing job of helping me out. I think that's what Tony realized is that, he couldn't necessarily control whether he was going to play or not. But what he can control is our relationship," Prescott said Wednesday on The Rich Eisen Show.
And I think Tony did a great job, and I commend Tony and thank him so much for that -- of being another coach for me, of helping me out, of in the middle of the game, at practice, on the field and] off the field, giving me advice. And as a guy who went through exactly what I went through -- taking over the position from an older veteran, and knowing what it's like to be the quarterback of the [Dallas Cowboys, and just helping me out."
Prescott said Romo never made their relationship awkward.
"It truly never did [get uncomfortable]. And that's why I say I commend him," Prescott said. "I don't know how he felt personally. I mean, obviously I know as much of a competitor he is, that he wanted to play.
