Beautiful cars, though some oddities with this. Why make it a 442, leave it a cutlass, it's still cool. Why hide an aftermarket stereo in the glovebox, it's useless you can't see it. This car is not original so who cares about stock appearance at this point. The wheels and tires absolutely do not work on this car. Would have been way cool with the olds sport rims that year.... just saying
Dubs look dumb on this Olds 442. Also the steering wheel was a horrible choice. Get some Olds Super Stock wheels and Super Sport steering wheel. These two features make it look like a half-baked pimp job. Didn’t Olds offer a vacuum gauge for the console on its automatics?
Wow wow, a Jaymobile from the batcave 🦇 🦇 red lightning awsome stunning car love this baby 🦇 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum and russel for perfect photografy from tom your friend now and always 😊😊😊😊😊
I'm with the guy with one of the comments I cannot stand the giant rims on these particular types of cars I came from that era born in the early 1950s I owned 67 GTO convertible 68 GTO 66 Plymouth fury 3 convertible with a 383 4 speed on the floor I could go on and on but these rims every time I watch a video and I noticed right off the bat the rims are too big for the car
One of my friend's father worked at an Oldsmobile dealership during this time. Every week he'd bring home a different car. I remember these cars well.... they were very good looking cars, and appeared to be well made! Oldsmobile engines also had a very destructive sound!
I call this Olds the good, the bad, the ugly 😂 the interior would look better black, white or tan. I don't like when the interior is the same color as exterior.
I agree, and I don't like those mags. Factory wheels would look better. And I also don't like the cheap Walmart auxiliary gauges they put in it. But whoever did the body and paint did an amazing job
Agreed. I love the entire restoration except for the oversized wheels. I can understand going a little larger than factory… maybe 16”, but these are out of proportion. Easy fix though.
@@Nebulasecura yes. I understand that , but Im trying to say I hope this trend of oversize stage coach wheels on classics making them look like miami donks will end soon

The older I get the less I like a convertible.

For sure, A nice riding car now feels all the bumps in the road!
Those ugly rims draw your eyes from the cars awesome lines.
Stock rims always look better. It looks like the front end should start bouncing off the ground with those rims.
Fabulous car 🚗
Awesome looking car with awesome looking wheels :)
Really?..those wheels? You must be a kid or very young person.
@@TheDRUM2112 no, 66

i just hate when they put ugly oversized clown shoes on these beautiful old classics
Clown shoes 😅 sure does make them look ghetto. Car does not deserve this!

That's why you can buy it so you can have them changed out bud. Wheels are super easy to change lmao.

That is a cherry..❤
Back in 1971 I bought a 1966 Olds Cutlass after I got out of the Army.
And?
Wheels look horrible on that car, steering wheel was a bad choicee also.
Nice car. I had a '66 F-85 years ago, 4 door with a 330 engine. Miss that car. Thanks Jay!
Lose those disgusting rims.
Yeppers!
