CoriAnder | Shiraga

As an auditory-visual synaesthete, sounds induce the visual perception of coloured, textured shapes in my mind’s eye. I have learned to harness my synaesthesia and use my experiences as inspiration for new music. The idea for my track 'Shiraga' was inspired by the work of artist Kazuo Shiraga. I synaesthetically translated elements of Shiraga's paintings into musical ideas, which I used to construct this electronic track. My synaesthetic perception of the track strongly resembles Shiraga's work.
