I'm so glad they picked who they did for the voices. I find so much comfort from just hearing them now. Their familiar voices are so calming and leave a warm feeling of days gone by.

The story to this Disney Classic is incredibly fascinating. Like Bear Necessities being the original song from the first story write. A lot of the darker elements and artwork to really cement in the world of India. Walt wanting the crew to disregard the original Kipling story, and wanted this to be more enjoyable.

Walt's movies were so multilayered and pristine quality . The animation , the voices , the music . And Jungle Book more than most . Walt was a true creative genius with exacting standards and he surrounded himself with fellow geniuses - the best of the best - and expected their innovation and equal perfectionism . Ahh he was just so cool and passionate and his work reflected all it .

I was 10 when this movie came out I’m now over 21 lol I remember enjoying the music. My parents who came of age during the big band era. We’re so amazed that Phil Harris and Louis Prima musical ability. They always like those two bands now that I’m older, I think of the behind-the-scenes antics that must’ve gone on, all that talent all those brains hanging out together George Saunders, Sebastian Cabot looking on as Phil Harris and Louis Prima’s bands go crazy jamming together would’ve been a wonderful behind the scenes documentary of itself

This is probably the earliest (high profile) example of an animated movie with a mostly all-star cast of very recognizable celebrity voice actors (for its day). It makes Disney casting Robin Williams as Genie in Aladdin look very modest by comparison. It’s also funny to see a late 60s Disney flick already showing their celebrity cast meeting their characters in promotional material XD

Reasons life changed: I have my own kitchen where I can prepare meals, I still have Jesus in my heart and am a Christian and can go to church and/or Sunday school, I help with the babies and toddlers which makes me quite the ambassador of autism, I sleep in and be taken care of and… I still have lots of fun stuff to do with my imagination, creativity, talents, vocabulary, brainstormings, multitaskings, inspirations,
    poetry/puppetry and…
    architecture

It made me think of Katherine Heigl and her voice to put it in my childhood experience before her voice of Andie in The Nut Job movies.

The death of Walt Disney was not the end, it was only a new beginning of the best Disney films of everyone’s childhood.

Maybe everyone won’t agree, but watching this makes me so sad. The magic that was baked in, and the real, true individual talents and larger than life characters that breathed life into the animated characters….it doesn’t seem to exist in this world anymore. Even with all of the technology that is available now, nothing produced now is even remotely comparable. Lost and greatly missed. At least it happened once upon a time….

As for.Mowgli’s protection from Shere Khan, it would be good to see Bagheera in action of a cat fight. I liked the movie though it is a lifetime movie.
