The technical concept of this antenna reminds me of the Alpha Antenna EZ military or Military 2.0. I like how they added the HOA stealth bit from a marketing point of view... :-)
Smart, fantastic option for those of us hams under HOA circumstances to consider instead of a loop antenna. Bonus points for the bird feeder option as it's friendly for wildlife visiting. Keep the "bad boy goatee" look Eric as it suits you to a tee!
I thought HOAs couldn't ban ham radio antennas? Our HOA bans antennas and around a year ago my next door neighbor installed a hundred foot tall telescoping tower in his backyard. When he was confronted by the HOA, he told them that since he had a federal ham license they couldn't touch him. A year later and he's still got the antenna up, visible from completely outside the neighborhood...
I think the FCC rule is "reasonable accommodation". Whatever that means. HOA rules will be specific to the HOA and type of house (freestanding home with yard vs townhouse). I checked my HOA docs for our townhouse and they don't allow drilling holes in the townhouse siding, mounting of radio antennas, etc etc. Portable ops for me for now. Sounds like your friend went for it and won :) 73 de Tim N7KOM
Depends on the state. Here in Pennsylvania, they can't ban anything. State law prohibits it. The best they can do is make sure that your tower/antenna is "safe". § 302. Restriction on municipal regulation of amateur radio service communications. (a) General rule.--A municipality that adopts an ordinance, regulation or plan or takes any other action involving the placement, screening or height of antennas or antenna support structures shall reasonably accommodate amateur radio service communications and shall impose only the minimum regulations necessary to accomplish the legitimate purpose of the municipality. (b) Reasonable accommodations.--A municipality may impose necessary regulations to ensure the safety of amateur radio antenna structures, but must reasonably accommodate amateur service communications. No ordinance, regulation, plan or any other action shall restrict amateur radio antenna height to less than 65 feet above ground level. www.yorkdispatch.com/story/news/2020/02/20/state-law-protects-amateur-radio-operators-frustrates-neighbors/4788331002/
17 foot stainless steel vertical whip is hardly what I would call stealth, but I digress, honestly this is really nothing more than a Chameleon CHA MPAS Lite which sells for $340 ($160 less than the TN07).
I would take that antenna camping ! looks great ! would be great in my icom 7300 .wonder if the tuner in my 7300 would load 160 meter ? may try ! thank you ! 73's
I will try on my 7300 and report back this week. I bought one of these a few weeks ago. If you do the research for what this delivers the price is close to other products that offer similar bands. The others are no where as easy to setup as this one is. The HOA wasn't my reason for my purchase. I moved out of an HOA due to restrictions. I wanted an antenna that's portable and covers almost all bands without tuning or needing to fiddle with coils and taps etc. It really just works from band to band. Its stainless steel durable and weather proof. Well made.
$500 bucks for $5 worth of pvc, wire and glue from Home Depot? The inventor and the ham community would be better served had the price been more reasonable, maybe $100. For this amount, it makes the inventor look greedy. Keep it, there are better, and less expensive options.
Depending on the time of the year lets say S.FL. in the summer time no one is going to hear you on that thing on 80 40 20 . You probably will work some Eskip in the summer months on 12/10/6. Way over priced .A simple end Fed wound do better..
HAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA Thanks, Yah Im gonna make another video to recap what my streams were about. But it had to do with someone stealing my entire laptop camera bag right at my feet in the airport.. i got it back tho

friendly unless it microwaves the birds
@@redf7209 I would not want to disturb nesting birds, so I think I would make a fake birdhouse with a black spot instead of a hole.
Awesome review, Eric!
Another POS Antenna Rip off .You can build any number of 100 different antennas of similar design to do the same thing for 100+ .Stupid
He makes some good stuff. I believe he had one that hung up like a sun shade.
I wanted that one but he wasn't interested in it

@@jimmeeGray Don't live in HOAs and you wont have this issue.
I set up my Alpha Antenna Match in the same configuation and got the same results. I think the brain is a 5:1 Balun.
thanks Erick nice review 73
Mighty pricy stuff. Looks pretty nice
If you want excellent product get ready to pay the price!!!! de kv1p
Good info sir……thank you for sharing
Another great stealth antenna. Thanks!
FYI, I sent an email to Bob this morning and he called me about 1 hour later to answer my questions. 🤔 just saying. Mark, K3DEX
How does it do in weather? Do i have to bring it in for rain?
is that antenna on Ralph's W5JGV webpage HOA compliant.
That's cool
Would fit my needs (HOA) but a tad out of my price range right now. Guess I will have to save my pennies. :-)

$500??? No thanks.
$500? it better be good.
humm. I made an antenna EFHW that does 80-6m cost maybe $50 and have hit as far as Turkey and Estonia. The mark up on antennas is ridiculous.
You could make almost ANY ham antenna for under $100 IF you are handy, have the tools and maybe have scrap parts laying around... What is your point?
@@erpece1. the mark up cost (read the last line) 2. Both are a single wire antenna that are barely noticeable.
