I can’t get enough of this, just like with phasmo lol. I quite literally watched all of Skizz’s, then watched them all again, and now I’ve come here and am making my way through all Tango’s plate up :)
2:01:10 I like to imagine the customer is asking "can you just hand that to me?"... But no, Tango just stands a few steps away, holding onto it as he looks over his shoulder at Skizz in the kitchen, saying "Just a second, sir."
I think balancing out the different negative card types helps reducing the difficulty spikes. Like not too many additional recipies, not too many cards that makes customers more demanding, etc.
To anyone wondering: The smart grabber started the practice as "not configured and grabbing whatever", but once it grabbed something it configured itself that that something. It just so happens this time the something was (and had to be) what they wanted it to be configured to.
This is why its best to make a load of black coffee and let the server have the other equipment having to ask for latte or iced, they just pick it up. We got to overtime 15 doing this once we have coffee automated we both started serving then we started to automate lattes and stuff. Also minimizing walking distance on all stations is best having to walk 2 tiles is a lot when you cut even 5% its huge honestly. Learning to multi task while it sounds impossible is valuable. Place a table or station near coffee, turn place cups in the temp station start brewing more coffee then deliver the other cups while it is brewing. high efficiency. I hope this helps someone who watches this xD i to love this game but its quite crazy that you rarely get to long overtimes if you mess up even a bit.
I caught the end of the stream the other day. Rewatching this is like watching the titanic embark across the ocean. I know it's fate, and there's nothing I can do but watch.
The connection you guys have with each other even when impulse and Grian and scar involved is always a laugh a second! Y’all have started copying each others words mannerisms and all and it makes for the best streams!
2:46:35 The only way to keep that starting grabber is if you get a cabinet in on day 2. VERY unlikely. Or if you bring a cabinet or copy desk into the run (with the loading bay) But yeah, that would be SUPER good since that starting grabber is also FREE. Copying a free grabber every turn... dayum. edit: Someone tells you it's an actual grabber... no, it was a 0 cost blueprint when you started that franchise. The loading bay stuff isn't blueprint form, but the yellow card stuff is.
that was a valiant effort at the end. skizz seemed to be having an issue adjusting to relying heavily on those bottom coffee machines along with diagonally reaching his table. Tango didn't focus on getting one table fully served so people would actually leave the restaurant. But like he said, that maybe cost them 10-15% efficiency. That +7 all at once during the lunch rush doomed them. More coffee tables, heck more tables in general, may have been their only shot with the cards they were working with.
This game is definitely addictive...when I play, I find myself sitting really far forward in my chair, hardly blinking, for hours. I usually only stop because my eyes start stinging or the screen gets blurry 😅
Tango and skizz awesome video again! Almost always go for the food options it’s tuff but controllable vs customer stuff which is not and you get overwhelming. Also something I tried before make several automated black coffees so you can both server and just make the complicated drinks as needed - so multiple cream and ice stations near the tables with frozen preps accessible and just run tables.
You DO need the combiner to automate special coffees...such a shame that chat got it mixed up. Portioner does not work, and you don't need to portion ice or milk, the machine does it for you. You're only automating the interaction with a combiner. Source: 400hours on the game lol
I thought it was weird that people kept saying portioner; I haven't played that much, but the portioner's name tells you everything you need to know, in my view. Same with combiner; their functions are self-evident.
Weirdly, the portioner does work for lattes. I tried the combiner and ended up getting stuck with no milk or milk in the coffee slot, but if you grabber milk into the latte machine and put coffee onto a portioner next to it, it works perfectly with no combiner needed. It's really counter-intuitive though so not surprising that chat gets confused!
@@Aranel_Alasse makes sense with lattes...I don't understand why the grabber automatically puts the milk in the coffee slot...I'll try this because I haven't figured out a way to fully automate lattes yet. Thank you!
@@ana_ve yeah, my initial thought was that the milk would only go in the milk slot and a combiner would auto-milkificate the coffee, and I got so confused when I couldn't get it to work. I really don't know why they didn't do it that way!
The display stand is an appliance that influence customer orders. Appliance increases the odds of ordering the displayed dish by 25%, and stacks multiplicatively with other display stands.
1:37:44 thank god for chat, I am SCREAMING, possibly concerning my poor housemate. this game is so fun but also so frustrating to watch others play it xD Other thing I was screaming at: if there’s nothing else to upgrade/ your just putting something in the filing cabinet for rerolls - and a table is Available- try for simple table cloths!!! I thought they learnt last round with a ‘this is the best thing ever’. A H H.
Oof, the smallest mistake will end the run. I wonder if it would have been better to have the ice machine and latte machine available for the server as well.
I love this game, I absolutely do, it's so much fun to watch, but it feels so weird you can't try again if you loose a round. It's essentially hardcore every singe time, and it's so frustrating because reaching a point where you can do something new is sooo hard. I love the gameplay but the game design will forever feel weird to me. If I ever find someone to play this with me I will definitely look for a mod that makes it possible to retry rounds. I admire your patience.
If anyone cares, when you automate lattes you will need a portioner (the yellow one). When you automate iced coffee or tea you need a combiner (the blue one). To automate the coffee you need a smart grabber set to coffee or it will just pull empty cups. I normally like to automate coffee around OT day 1 or 2. I then automate tea around OT day 3 or 4. I then automate delivering sugar, cupcakes, tea cups, and milk to the tables usually around OT days 5-10. Then and only then do I normally start automating the lattes and iced coffees.
I know im captain hindsight but i think you lost cause skizz was waiting that table constantly and you were waiting for him to make coffee. It was too much for skizz. He couldnt keep the prep stations filled
It'd be good to have 1 portioner for ice and 2 combiners for iced coffees and lattes. The milk that comes out of the fridge is already portioned. You need to portion the ice then combine it to the coffee. For the latte, you just need to combine coffee with the latte milk.
You both need to be in the kitchen. I watch itsgng and Skootie play this. Both of them are in the kitchen. You can serve from the kitchen. Put all the tables along the counter like skizz's table.
Yall spend too much time walking back and forth. Walking is your biggest bottleneck and you're not even noticing how much time you're spending walking everywhere. You could easily put the tables at the counter and have both of you in the kitchen, but you need to recognize how much time you're wasting just walking to and from the tables and prep stations.
Having Skizz screaming "MIIIIIILK!!!!!" gives me so much joy.
I love the logic of "You were so popular that you couldn't serve everyone, and so had to close"
I can't even tell you how much I love watching these PlateUp streams.
Thank you =)
Same bro. I’ve watched at least 20 so far between tango and jimmy

For future reference just pull up the wiki to figure out which device to use to automate something so that chat being chat doesn't end up costing you

"Mandatory tips" instantly threw me back to the D.E.R.P. days. Good memories.

2:49:08 Would it be possible for Skizz to get on the Hermitcraft sever just exclusively to play DO with everyone else, instead of alone??
Somebody on the server need an iron farm or something? I bet Skizz could build one of those...

Wicked!! 2am and I have a flight to be up for in 3 hours... butttt plateup sounds like a great time killing option to me
The best way to get the blueprints you want and need is with a Blueprint Desk. It's the first desk I buy every time.
I love it when they call me Big Huppa

PlateUp Stream makes my day!! 😅😅
Tango is getting better at serving!
Catching up on my favorite stream! I'm addicted to this game and want to see you guys automate!

Aw man
Tango could also help make black coffee rather than waiting for Skizz to make more when it runs low
