- Here a ride video on WMATA 2018 NF Xcelsior XN40 #3115 on Rt 5A heading towards Dulles International Airport. The Rt 5A will be eliminated once the phase 2 of Silver Line opens this summer or sometime later in the year. It a nice airport express bus route kinda wish WMATA would keep it as backup to the Silver Line since it going to be one of the longest rail lines in the system. All the way from Ashburn VA to Largo MD via downtown DC now that a long ride lol. Well if you guys want to ride the Rt 5A best to catch it now before it gone.

There will be no need to have this route anymore once phase 2 of the WMATA Silver Line opens.
5A and B30 was the buses that took u from Virginia to DC and from Virginia to Maryland

I wish that the B30 Metrobus that goes from Greenbelt Metro Station to Baltimore-Washington International Airport was restored.
you're definitely right it's way quicker to get to Dulles with the 5A than the silver line, gonna be missed. I wonder if the B30 will ever return?
So far the B30 is still suspend but it been on chopping block so it might not return. I want the B30 to come back.
@@MWTransitVids yeah it would be nice for it to return when the 5A leaves.
They should at least keep Route 5A just for A.M. and P.M. Rush Hours instead of totally eliminating the entire route all together, that still would be a good alternative to the Silver Line Phase 2 completion..
