Great, comprehensive review. Looks like the Maen Hudson “ticks a lot of boxes” for me… great finishing. The only slight ‘niggles’ would be the ghost date position when adjusting the time (in reality not a major downside really), and the lack of lume of the bezel, otherwise the package is pretty spot on. One thing I think I’d change though (if I was Maen) is the Hudson dial text - I’d swap this for a Water Resistance rating - 30atm / 300m - not that I do much diving - but I do have several watches and quick check of the dial before I jump in the pool is reassuring! I see they have a gmt version in production (both quartz and automatic - I’m a Quartz fan - more bang for your buck, better convenience and accuracy) - hope you get to review that too.
This Maen case appears very similar to my San Martin 38mm Retro-diver. Overall dimensions look the same, shape and details the same, and finish the same.
I thought so too. Now san Martin has a gmt model as does Maen. Both look very similar again. The san Martin has got really good reviews esp in the finishing comments
Hello, would anyone know if the movement is the only difference between the quartz and automatic version? I am being offered a MK 4 Black automatic version, but looks a bit different in the pictures vrs this video.

Bravo. The best watch review channel, and I *watch* many. I still love quartz timepieces, they're good for grab-and-go.
Brilliant little watch for your money
Really enjoyed your thorough review, thank you

Yes Jim, the SN004-G case has similar dimensions, however the finishing is higher level on the Hudson 38 MK4. Regards, #WR4K

Very nice watch, as the automatic, important question, does the second hand hit the indexes? And is there an option with date?
Yes, no. Regards, #WR4K
Would of been great if they offered the quartz with a date . Great watch though
They do now!

The movement is the only difference Fredy. Regards, #WR4K
Sharp edges but no sharp corners?
The case doesn't have sharp edges or corners (lug tips). Regards, #WR4K
Seems very expensive for what it is.
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
