You know, I like this, the D-class actually getting a chance to "actually" redeem themselves and somewhat, willing work with the foundation, you got to think that there are at least some D-class that actually regret what they have done and maybe do deserve a second chance at a life, instead of just being sent straight to 682 just so some researcher can time how long it takes the big lizard to chew something before swallowing.
This also implies however that there are likely many D class that are not in fact criminals. That they are or were normal individuals that happened to catch the eye of the foundation. And thus were taken, and altered mentally so that they would believe themselves to be something that they are not. Criminals.

I heard a rumor that the foundation uses scp-158 to keep the red right hand alive by extracting the souls of wounded operatives and placing them into a healthy D class.

@@deadlystalker7483 158 is a vlaw that can rip the soul out of a living creature and turns it into a liquid, that liquid can then be put into another living creature that has had its sound removed allowing said creature to have the memories and skills. So a red right hand member who is about to die could escape death by jumping bodies.

There is such a thing as best of a bad bunch. That said seems like mtf units have rather high casualty and attrition rates so perhaps the bar must be raised or lowered depending on the current circumstances. Of course the bar needs to have very little wiggle room to keep the unit effective but still
i mean, to be fair, if i worked somewhere as hazardous as the foundation, i wouldn't learn the faces of my low level coworkers either. and the cultists took advantage of that by implanting look alikes inside to mount a sneak attack(which is where the MTF members got slaughtered) and a sneak attack outside giving the element of suprise

A D-class, the second lowest rank in the Foundation became the Foundation's right hand... I feel like D-Classes are getting more chance to be an Alpha-1 than any other combatives

Most Alpha-1 members are ex-special operatives or people with that training. So I wonder what made this D-Class so special that it peaked Alpha-1’s radar.
they gave him an hallucinogen that allowed him to know everything he needed to know, there is not really much into it. + no one would really know a d-class so their identities are already somewhat hidden.

I believe each individual 0-5 member has their own sub division of alpha 1 specified to their needs and modified to fit their “abilities” some of them obviously have, each member of the council recruits differently.

They can't. Ironically enough for directly inverse reasons to why there is no Orion's Arm Project movie. They cannot hold the rights to it. Everything done using SCP material has to be copyright-free, and execs just aren't down for that.

Good point, makes you wonder about a lot of things.
So I have a thought about scp-096, shy guy . I know that 096 has the ability to create a psychic link with a person that saw its face , thats what allows scp-096 to hunt down it's victim and eventually kill them .
But now my question is , what makes the creature attack , is it just the act of seeing its face or is it because you saw its face and now have a memory of 096 inside your mind that creates the link . And if that's the case could administering amnestics clear the memory of shy guy and break the link their for putting shy guy back into calm state.
I feel like this could easily be a test conducted with 3 d-class given a stop watch all set for the same time and equal distance, and they all look at the photo at the same time ,then immediately administered the amnestics, ( reason for 3 is to have enough time for the amnestics to set into atleast one of them ).
What are y'all thoughts ?
that might actually work, so how I think the foundation would use this in the event of a containment breach is that they would have fast jets flying low on the same heading as 096 spraying aerosolized amnestics to as you stated clear the memory of the shy guy and break the link their for putting the shy guy back into calm state.
Honestly, it's a very interesting idea, but if you think about it.. If that really did work we would know.

If anyone here plays or knows the lore of WH40k, I feel like MTF Alpha-1 is the SCP Foundation's version of the Grey Knights, mixed in with a little Custodes. I feel like the author(s) responsible for first creating the Red Right Hand may have been influenced by WH40k.

I think the two most iconic MTF's are Epsilon-11 and ALPHA-1
The most underrated mtf are tau-5 because almost nobody knows about it

Hw not a real D-class the whole thing was the last test before joining alpha-1. He's developed a resistance to amnestics. And they where able to see His reactions to various anomalies with out the rest if the foundation know that he was a Alpha-1 recruit after all who pays attention to D-classes.

Try putting scp 682 (the hard to destroy reptile) in a black hole if it survives (what it probably will) it might not be able to escape
