Good job @DIYApprentice. I followed your instructions with a Porter Cable C2006 Pancake compressor using gasket kit #D30139. Does not require the big O-ring. Ordered from Amazon. $28. Took about 45 min start to finish. Runs perfectly.
Great job, my compressor is leaking in the same spot. Just ordered the kit from Amazon - thanks for the link as well. Like others, I was going to scrap it until I saw this. But please use a kneeling pad (my knees were killing me just watching this!)
Nice job! Was the large o-ring the point of failure? Having difficulty finding the link to the replacement parts. I have the same Hitachi nut driver and have had for over 20 years. I replaced the switch 10 years ago. Still works great.
Best regards Mr. DIY Luis Pacheco greets you from Ecuador, excellent compressor repair video. I have a Porter cable compressor with the same characteristics in the video and I need spare parts such as piston, connecting rod, cylinder, ring and valve assembly to repair. Ecuador does not have spare parts, I have to import from the US... can you help me with links to stores where I can buy? was grateful for responding

Nice, good that you could get replacement parts! Fixing something is a lot better than buying new.
Yes, I'm glad I was able to get it back to normal.
Nice video! I have the Porter Cable with the same issue. I’m going to give this a shot.
Hope it fixes your issue. Thanks for checking out the video!

Please give me the part number to the parts you used to repair your compressor.
Please see the video's description. Thanks.
This is great video to watch but horrible leak
Yeah, I didn't realize the leak had gotten so bad over the years.

Yes, the link to the kit I purchased is in the video's description. Hope it helps you out.
I have to do the same thing to mine. I have the parts. Wish me luck.
My compressor does not charge more than 80psi, it continues to work, it does not charge and it does not turn off.
Mine is leaking but unfortunately in a different spot.
Hopefully, you're able to fix it.
My brand spanking new one leaks there junk everyone’s leaks porta cables gone down hill
Smh. I haven't purchased any newer compressors - still have my old Craftsman pancake and an older 33-gal Craftsman.
