Dr Suraj Samtani | Improving social cognitive skills to reduce dementia risk

Older adults with cognitive concerns are at greater risk of loneliness, depression and dementia. Dr Samtani, from the University of New South Wales, is conducting a world-first randomised control trial in the effectiveness of a tailored social cognitive skills intervention for older adults with cognitive concerns. He will also investigate whether social cognitive skills training improves the rate of cognitive decline.
