Given the "standard diet" that dietitians try to push on me as "the healthy choice" when it's loaded with stuff I'm allergic to and full of sugar (I'm a diabetic) I fully know the feeling.
And I obviously ignore all of them and do my own thing.

I just love how he's vocal! My family rescued a female husky/Labrador retriever mix. Her name is Pepper and her colors are the same as Sherpa's. She's 2 1/2yrs old, full of life! We just love her!

Sherpa: (saying the quiet part out loud) Um, Dad, the vet actually meant for me to have the whole sausage roll for the liver enzyme test. Plus, you forgot to factor in that I'm getting lots more exercise now with my new larger garden. It's turned me into a puppy again. Just look at my lighter steps. Sherpa's face very quickly went from "I'm trying to ignore you for taking me to the vet" to "Really? I get the whole thing, right?" to "Ok, I'm fine with the smaller piece...."
I think we all need to also remember, the occasional sausage roll is very good for Sherpa's mental health! 😁🤣

My little Yorkie had a dysfunctional liver! But he lived yrs after!
Sometimes the liver will reverse itself. I know you're conerned.

Jamie, it's in the Geneva Convention that pups receive sausage rolls after a vet visit. Also, check MENSA bylaws, since Sherp is their sole canine member. 😊

What a day!! Sherpa goes to vet but gets sausage and treats! Waiting impatiently to hear results of blood test!! I'm sure it will be good!! Thanks Jaime for including us with everything. Love you Sherpa❤❤
There were 2 things that really helped our elderly german shepherd was fish oil supplements and evening primrose oil supplements. As she aged she got arthritis and her hair started thinning. She was slowing down so much and had a hard time getting up and down stairs etc. Once she started those 2 supplements she was moving so much better and seemed a lot happier when playing or walking. She lived to 5 days before her 15th birthday, which is really quite good for a pure shepherd. She had the fish and evening primrose oils for the last 8 years of her life and I'm convinced if she hadn't had them, she wouldn't have kept the exercise up as well as she did and that it lead to a longer life with a better quality of life. We only let her go when she suddenly wouldn't even get out of bed for a week, the vet then said her quality of life was gone and it was cruel to keep her going just to live bedridden. I keep Sherps in my thoughts for his continued good health and vitality. The home you've gotten him is sure to increase his quality of life for, hopefully, many years to come! Much love!❤❤
A sausage roll every 3 or 4 days keeps Sherp very happy, Dr's orders, he is an elder, he should get what he loves as often as possible.
Sherpa is a very beautiful boy. His eyes show how soulful he is.

Poor Sherpy! I feel pity to see his paws with bandages. But it makes me happy to see that Sherpy has a loving dad who cares for him and pampers him a lot. ☺On the other hand, surely Sherpy was happy to make this test because he had to eat yummy sausages in order to accomplish the test requirements.😄😘🐕❤❤

Ohhh, noooooooooooooo, Sharpie was limping as he ran. Poor big guy didn't like getting his gorgeous coat shaved, sharp needle stuck in Sharpie 2 X and 2 matching, yet overly tight blue bandages affixed. He needs a road trip to McD's drive thru tomorrow for a 6 pack of nuggets to share with you and an entire McDouble for himself. You were so brave, Sharps! The whole 🌎says, "I love youuuuuuuuuu!". 🐥🍔
I do not know how he can see those treats wherever they fall far away when you throw them; amazing.
I love the look on Sherpa's face when he finds himself back at the vet: "Wait a minute... I was just here and I didn't like it the first time! What kind of trickery is this, Jamie?!?"

I complain about having to have blood taken every three months. Sherpa, You get two shots in one day and never complained once. You are a better hooman than I will ever be. Love you buddy!
I am not entirely convinced that Sherpa thought the quarter of a tasty sausage roll made up for the two trips to the vet for partial exsanguination. ❤❤

Love your videos. I used to raise pure bred Siberian Huskies when I lived in Texas. I miss them as I got a divorce and my ex gave them away to a rancher before I could rescue them traveling from Fl to Texas. Great and Loyal Animals!

I'm so pleased that Sherpa has a nice home with a huge yard. He's looking old and tired. It may be time to allow him to get more rest. I vet would have a fit if I fed my dogs the number of treats and junk food that he has eaten. I'm not being critical, but maybe more high-quality food
He is such a good boy and so glad he has only a few steps at the new house. And he got a sausage treat glad they close to your new home. He loves his yard. The spring in his step getting in and out of the van. Hope his test come out good

One time I thought my dog had eaten some broken glass (I dropped a food dish), and the vet told me to feed him bread and wet food, no dry. I did as I was told and found no trace of glass in the bread, but that was a very happy dog for that week!
