Too much building going on in Umdloti, should have left the land scape as it was. It never flooded like this until all these buildings started going up.

When we was living in South Africa, every Year we went with the kids on Holiday to Umdloti Beach , it was fantastic, please People stop building and destroying the natural Habitat , God is watching 😢🤔🤭🙏🏻

Hey please man. It's a flood. What's wrong with you? You think it only flooded there in the country? What about Ladysmith? Why don't you place your anger and frustration in the right place - the fact that the drainage system isn't maintained and there has been zero effort by the government to protect people from these occurrences. These are the floods, the drought is coming later... It's the same disasters on both sides of the coin yet the government will do nothing in terms of planning. Instead of being spiteful and so igorant and superstitious, put yourself in these people's shoes. They don't deserve it anymore than you would deserve to an accident. Oh and I suppose you also believe all the people who live in shacks deserve to have everything they own taken a way too? You think only these people are suffering. When tragedy strikes you, I hope you believe you had what's coming to you.

So called engineers wasted time and cost .did not think and build better drainage.systems .taxpayers money down the drain.umdloti road and river running from Salta should be the first priority since the last floods.no use fixing or building small inadequate drainage at the end of the road.you got to start from the top and engineer your plan going down the road . Pipes were supposed to be more than 1.5 m .in diam .the sides of water runway should have rock mesh .come on .who engineered? this and got paid for nothing.😂😂

They did improve the drainage in areas, but were still building in other areas, this probably set the worl back a few months at least.
Either way, why were they so slow?
