Great one!! Discovering those classic exercises anew, finding new twists & variations, is often better than coming up with fancy new ones! Can only recommend, even (especially!) if you've been into fitness for years & think like "nah, isn't it a bit boring doing those old lateral raises & reverse flys over and over again?" Chances are you might enjoy it as much as I did! 😊🏋♀
man, rarely trained is right! i appreciate that i had a manageable challenge while using 6lbs per hand, and my shoulders definitely feel the burn. i'll have to count the shoulder presses next time ^_^
I used 5-10 pounds and my shoulders were really feeling it the next day! It felt so strange using lighter weights but I couldn't lift anymore keeping proper form and that my shoulders were sore the next day tells me it was a good workout! Thanks again for all your awesome videos!
It's not a bad idea to start light with this one because of the rarely used ranges of motion in terms of training. It's always better to start light and get the form down, then increase the weight. Anytime you do that many shoulder motions in a row it's going to be rough!
The weight varied by exercises - keep in mind because of the shoulder rotations, they put you in a relatively weak position (a position that is rarely trained) so you will want to start light.
If you can I would highly suggest talking with a physical therapist to determine what may be going on (just don't let them give you a cortisone shot as it just covers up the problem) could be anything from an impingement to a rotator cuff issue it is always best to get a professional opinion. Also in reference to a reply you got from some one else a shoulder press is not a good replacement for a ventral raise as it is only moderately close to one of the arm rotations.
I broke my shoulder last year and guess it s too much for me this workout even if i play capoeira and I have to care my shoulder. thanks guys. U r great
I really think you should emphasis you have to start light to prevent rotator cuff damage. Because almost all upper body exercises incorporate shoulder movement - these small muscles take a hammering. If you want to lift heavy - the rotator cuffs have to be conditioned first!
great workout!! i cant wait to show my boyfriend this. it would be so helpful if you could show pics in your printable workout so we can take the printouts with us when we dont have access to the internet. :)
I suggest you do a shoulder press instead. It works out the same part of the shoulder without putting so much torque on the shoulder joint as these moves are doing. Hopefully that will help with the twinge you feel.
so for the ventral raises I felt a twinge in my right shoulder every time. like in my joint not in my muscle. I checked my sholders and back for correct positioning. but didn't mean a thing so I stopped. How do I stop the twinge?
Internally rotating shoulders and then trying to force them through that range of movements is asking for trouble and will do yourself damage. ‘Your hands will keep trying to turn themselves around’ I wonder why that is?
It didn't go down well. I did it all successfully but almost died. My first time ever doing weights, I used not small dumbells but legit spin locks, 2kg each side plus a .8kg bar.

Of all the delt workouts out there this one just hits right at the spot with all those variations 🙏👌

I really loved this shoulder workout!!! I love all the variations on the same move. My arms are burning and I love it!!!

Had to drop to 3 pounds per hand on some of these! That was exhausting but satisfying, thank you!
These workouts never get old!
Daniel you are fantabulous! Thank you very much for desiging such a masterpiece exercise. Best Regards from Tehran 🙏

first time I did this I used 2 and 3 kg dumbbells, here I am a year later using 4-5 kgs :)
+Seyhan Sakalli happy to hear that! I can barely hold 1kg lol
Nice job
@@arls1253 you can’t hold 2 pounds

Definitely! There is no such thing as a male or female workout, technically.
Hard but good! 4.5kg dumbbells, did 22 burnout shoulder presses

workout complete!
Man, that was tough, maybe I need to use lighter hand weights....or get the adjustable ones. Good to see you finally struggle at the end there.
Awesome! Didn't know those excercises!
INTENSE!!
thanks! I will definitely look into it if the problem doesn't go away with a few days of rest. (therapists do cost money)
it looks to be very good and effective because of the shoulder rotations. is it okay for women to do it?
what is the difference with the shoulder sculpting workout Daniel?

Lateral Raise
10 Reps - thumbs pointing back, can you do with palm facing up?
how many kilos is using?
great workout..
If I can email you what are my main problem areas are, would you be able to customized my 8 week program that I bought? lol any suggestion?
Am I the only one that thought he was using car batteries?
😂😂🤣🤣👍
We really don't have the manpower for that, there's only two of us. What are you hoping to change/customize?
Can we start off using our own bodyweight? Will the workout still be effective?
no.

good
