Hi Ally ! I like the peaceful light snowfall and the sun shining on all the snowy areas the next morning. I admire your hard work, blessed holidays to you & Kyle 😊
One more tip from a person who has burnt wood for about 45 years: first, put the splitter as close to the woodshed as possible so there are fewer steps. Second, if a wood chunk goes in the tractor bucket, park the tractor next to the splitter and not pick up the wood twice. It may take a bit longer, but it is much easier. I love the videos.
Yes getting prepared for winter is a big task. I moved to the mountains in 2010 from California and learned very quickly after first winter to start preparing in August. I miss splitting wood and stacking because now I don't have a wood burning stove. It's exhilarating to get ready for winter. I still do minus the wood. Would to learn how to make the fire cider 😊 Bet your loving all the snow your getting now😊.
Very nice video Ally! I want to give you a shout out. Thanksgiving day while cooking I had a big splash of melted butter fly up and land on top of my left index finger just below the knuckle. Despite running cold water over the burn it became a third degree burn. I was using a burn ointment on it but it wasn’t healing. After a few days of that I came across a tin of your The Remedy salve. I started putting that on the burn twice a day and within a couple of days I could believe how much more quickly the burn was healing. It’s almost healed up now and I don’t think it’s even going to leave a scar. I want to thank you for all of your herbal and medicinal plant research and creating a natural healing product that really works. I will be buying more of your products and telling my friends about you. I hope you and your family and friends have wonderful Holidays!
Very nice work . When operating anything with hydraulics, always check connections and hoses for leaks and the hoses for any swollen places that could blow. Gonna share with my 3 sisters. WORK SAFE OUT THERE!
You made me shiver seeing you in the water with the snow around… brrrrr ! How much land do you have there…? It’s great that you can harvest your own firewood with plans to expand your garden etc. for future projects. Something satisfying about splitting wood to keep yourself warm, but I only have a small amount… done enough for the season. I really like Christmas season… everything about it… New Year’s Eve I just like a good meal and wine 🍷… home and sleep… I’ll greet the New Year in the morning. It’s a beautiful sight seeing the wood shed filled, it must be very satisfying for you both… Stay safe and warm… take good care… Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 🎅🏻🧑🏻🎄🎄🎁 ahead of time… hope it’s a wonderful Christmas… enjoy! Hohoho 🎅🏻
If you get two years seasoned wood that is cut split and stacked called CSS. You will get more heat and burn less wood. Cut and split right before needing it your wood will have too much moisture in it.
Ally you're strong little lady but, you are hurting your future self lifting those huge logs. It will hurt you in the long run. I tossed round 50 lb bags of feed for a few years twice a week and now my back is shot. Hurts so much. Be strong but be careful.
Beautiful winter. I enjoy seeing all the big and little things you love about winter. And I love your self sufficiency. I would recommend you and Kyle both wear back braces to protect your backs. I used to do tough labor and I didn’t protect mine and now a bad back has clipped my wings. Much love to you both. ❤❤
I watch you from Southern California religiously since I’ve found your channel. I LOVE your energy, your whole vibe. I’m really proud of what you are doing Ally. You’re so strong. Get it Gurl! ✌🏽+ 🧡 to you and your partner. ALSO love your editing style and narrative. 😉Art✨✨✨
It would be great if you could capture some of all those leaves in a big net bin to make leaf mould. It's just the best soil conditioner for the veg patch. But then you prob know that 😊 x
Hi. Just like you two harvested and preserved in the late summer, my husband and I do it as well. He plants and harvest, where I preserve the harvested veggies by dehydrating them to use in soups, stews, and meat dishes in the winter months. We do Basil and Mint pestos to use on Lamb or in pasta dishes.
Hi Ally! What is this batch called! I cant wait to try it! I couldn't catch the name. 😉💜 Your & Kyles Videos are my favorite Sunday videos! You are appreciated! Have a wonderful day! ☮️🐾
LOL, I have blown leaves in the dark myself. Always check the wind direction. I'm glad to see you got a wood splitter. Last year, I commented to Kyle that he needed to get one. He sent me back, but it was good exercise, so don't let him use it. LOL.
Great job! Please don’t stand directly with your face over the bar. I ran chainsaw for a living for many years. If you’re over the bar like that and it kicks back, it will rip your face apart.
Not to be the RUclips safety police, but you should get yourself a pair of chaps when running those saws. Also, aside from the ash, that wood will take 6 months to a year to properly season and dry before you should burn it 🤷 Btw, the wood shed looks awesome. Killer job with that, I'd like to build one similar in the spring
Wood heat warns you twice. I have heard 1000 times during my life time. i am 3 days away from 67 years old don't remember anyone younger than me saying it. sure heard it from older generation.
I have no idea how you guys have so much will power & energy for ALL you guys do daily, I’m sure the payoff of finishing each project is so rewarding, thanks for sharing, appreciate the cozy sweetness, and craft, food & build ideas…🤓🫶🏻
What is your favorite part of winter?
The colder/cooler weather!
The slower relaxing pace... Reading or listening to music by a window while the snow falls. ❄️❄️❄️

@@orland0110 The end of it ! Haha
The quiet and feeling outside.
Yes! Leaf crunching! We love it! It’s what we say when we need to hike, “Let’s go leaf crunching!” Our favorite! 🥾🥾

Never underestimate just how dangerous that chain saw is.

So beautiful and peaceful Ally 🤍❄️✨🙌🏼🌲
Thanks so much!
When blowing you leaf's blow the direction of the wind. It will help getting them farther away.
Love love love the room spray you created this season it smells amazing . Loved last year's too. Thankyou Ally

Thanks so much for the kind words and support!
Thank you🌺
Watching snow fall when I’m staying home, cozy under my cover .. cuddling with my toddler grandson
Ally, use the wind to your favor when blowing leaves. Even if you have to blow them further or in a direction you don't want them to go. 😊

Fun watch as always.. Enjoyed
Nice video. Thank you!
Put those leaves on your garden bed! Perfect compost for your raised beds for next years soil! Fantastic work!
It's true! Leaves are excellent as compost.

2 drops this month? sweet! Hoping for more this december ally. Stay safe!
Sorry to disappoint-I have had to spend most of my time working on my small herbal business with the holiday orders.
Thats great! But no worries, I can just watch some old videos 🫶
WOW a blizzard. Please make sure you or Kyle get it on video. I'd love to see it.
You and your sister make quite a wood cutting team!
Good Morning excellent vedio. Impressed with your work and efforts. I hope that special person takes great care of you.
Good morning! Thanks so much.

Hello ❄ally
Hi!
Can you link the leaf blower?
Hi ,what breed is your cat ?
