I live in Australia and was today years old when I learned death adders are native to my region thanks to this video.... I was formerly blissfully unaware that an animal that had the word DEATH in its name was amongst our plethora of things that want to kill us in the downunderverse.... Thanks. I hate it. Other than that, awesome video series Paws! I never miss one :D
Hahahaha this made me laugh 🤣 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but glad you’re enjoying the series! 😂 Edit: to make things worse I think they’re ‘common’ death adders sooooooo sounds like there are multiple types of death adder 🤣🐍
PawsBuild: "I want to make a zoo that's super-ethical and gives our animals the best life possible." Also PawsBuild to the guests: "Pee in the grass or something, idc."
Do you think you'd consider adding a 'Nocturnal House' exhibit?? It was always my favourite at my local zoo as a kid :) I found this series today and I've been been binge watching all the videos, I was super pumped seeing a new video was released 14 hours ago. (By the way as an Aussie, we pronounce Oceania as "Oh-She-Anne-Uh")
Fun fact about the eastern blue tongue lizard: they can live up to 30 years old in captivity!! Also only juveniles shed every 6 weeks - adults shed about once every 5 months, but they tend to shed many 'clumps' of a few scales rather than the whole skin like a snake would, so it's still a tonne of clean up when they shed 😅 Love the extended exhibits!!
I always say to people, this game is pretty good with its facts and knowledge of animals. But sometimes things are a bit off, they aren’t perfect but you can’t expect them to be.
is next episode gonna be the big toilet adding special? haha! loving the eco zoo a lot though! it makes me really happy to see the animals well cared for and with lots of space like a zoo in real life! i think you should name one of your death adders or rattlesnakes "Mister Cuddlesworth" 😁
You should at some point name two capybaras “Slyvesta” and “Kumala” (probably not the correct spelling) after the other two capys at the urban rescue ranch.
I came across your channel recently and I have been loving it! I thought it could be a cool idea to add a little garden/patio area in the little divot outside the bat exhibit, where people could sit and eat their food after buying it inside.
4 videos in and still no toilet facilities “eh they’ll be fine!” *customers complain * “eh we’ll get to it” *more complaints* “lovely dance youre doing!” *sees an empty spot* “here would be perfect for toilet facility!” *ends video* 🤣🤣🤣 you gonna need to add them soon . Especially with all those drink stands lol
That little open space above the Eastern Blue Tongue Lizard's exhibit physically pains me lol. I'm so glad to see reptiles getting more love! They're by far my favorite type of animal. The fun facts you give with each animal are one of my favorite parts of this series. Being able to see multiple in one episode is great
Thank you so much for making these videos! they are great for learning how to play the game and you have such a great energy, i'm glad I found your channel :)
Hey PawsBuild! Just discovered your channel and am loving this series so far. One thing I will note is that eastern blue tongues are very solitary animals, even as babies they can be very territorial and aggressive towards each other, so it might be worth looking into splitting their enclosure down the middle and adding another exhibit box so you can keep both of them on display while letting them be seperate. In the mean time, here’s some more blue tongue facts: Blue tongues give birth to on average 10-19 babies. Blue tongues are omnivores, eating whatever food they come across, meat, bugs, leafy greens, veggies and fruits. Tasmanian blue tongues or blotches blue tongues have bumpier scales and a unique blotchy pattern unlike most others who are striped, they are also generally smaller and eat more fruits than other species. Their tongues are very bright under UV light, so it’s thought that they use their tongues to blind and confuse birds that are hunting them as birds see in UV. Hand reared blue tongues are very cuddly (not fact checked, mine just really likes to cuddle)
These videos have been a godsend to me as I try to hash my way through this game. There's so much to it, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and would get really frustrated. Watching these have been fantastic in learning how to play the game. Thank you for taking the time to explain a few things (like the random rotation, the work zones, etc)
I haven't been in a reptile house since 3 years before covid and seeing the video and seeing the enclosures is really bringing back a lot of memories thank
I am so happy the first ethical zoo video enticed me from the youtube homepage today. I’d given up on planet zoo since I couldn’t work out how the blueprint stuff really worked(the sims and two point hospital had spoiled me). But your series is like a really chill tutorial with extra capybara cuteness 😊
another great video, can't wait for the next upload!! oh and btw death adders breed like crazy so keep checking on them or you might suddenly find 20-30 babies from a single litter ( P.S give that poor man his toilet lol )
hey! just wanted to let you know how much im in love with this channel. i suffer with really bad anxiety and have a hard time sleeping because of it, but with your videos in the background ive been falling asleep so much faster. you've really made my life much better just by posting. keep up with the good work!!!
I'm loving this series! I've become emotionally attached to all these animals haha!! Could we name one of the snails nessa? If we havnt named them yet? Also! Would it be possible to put the "ethical zoo ep#" in the title? Overall, Im loving this!!! Can't wait for our poor visitors to get toilets lolll!!
Absolutely love these videos! Something I’ve seen done before (although I’m not sure if it matters in the gameplay) is the addition of coolers to help regulate both animals’ and people’s temperature. I know I would appreciate a cool zone to chill out in :)
I wanted to leave a comment and thank you for these videos! Aside from just being very entertaining, they help me whenever im having a lot of anxiety. :)
I’d love to see some whole zoo landscaping (: you’re exhibits look amazing, and I think some trees and flowers around the buildings and paths would really make it all come together nicely!
as an australian who has a local zoo with bats, they are actually in a nocturnal section as they are more active at night, so that people can watch them go about their business without them just being asleep the whole day, there's also a walk in bird cage but they have a double door system to ensure that none of them can escape, as I think that the setup for the bats in this video would likely have a lot of them escaping (if it were properly realistic ahah this is a game of course). but yeah! these videos are very fun to watch and quite entertaining so thanks for making them!
A few days ago one of your ethical zoo videos popped up in my recommended and I bingened all episodes of that series. Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, keep up the amazing work!
These videos have been seriously helping me through a hard time. Thank you so much for being you and making great videos. I haven't played planet zoo in sooo long. I might try and pick it up again, inspired by you! Thanks PawsBuild! 🐈⬛
Great episode! For Capy girl names, I thought of Maris and Piper as they look like cute little potatoes! Or nut names like pistachio, cashew, walnut :)
Loving the series! I know someday you'll put in toilets... (probably). I wonder if the green roofs would benefit from a small path and a little work building, to sort of imply that there's a gardener who visits occasionally?
I really wished you could decorate and enrich the terrarium by yourself. Me who own snakes now and have had lizards and so before LOVE to do enrichment for them
Oh cool thanks! I’m currently doing this series with no mods but thanks for sharing I’m sure many people wanting to do this with their exhibits will find that useful! ☺️
Your first ethical zoo video was pushed to me when it came out and I'm so glad I watched it because now I have been binging all your other videos! Makes my work a little better :) (I work a job with hours of tedious stuff during which I'm allowed to listen to music/podcasts/etc and I've been watching all your videos then)
Loved the capybara moments 😂😂 and I really loved what you did with the bats, the greenhouse style is cool. Can't wait to see it full of things for bats ! And give that poor man toilets 😅😅
In most of the zoos I've been to the reptile houses usually have one or two "Big Ticket" animals in them, anaconda, American alligator, komodo, etc so it might be worth updating the reptile house to have a viewing center for such an animal
So glad I finally watches this series after the first one kept showing up in my recommended. Love your commentary and humour, its so wholesome and relaxing and the way you react to things is just so fun. Also the pace in these videos is just perfect. Loving the choice of animals too, the bats especially, bat exhibits in zoos are always some of the most weird fun...but also while the glass is of course cool for looking at them the bats might prefer a dark room considering they are nocturnal right? At least thats what bat exhibits are like irl but ofc for a game it might just be more fun to have them easily visible. Also can I suggest Happy as a name for a future adorable Cappy baby and Snorkel for an an anteater :DD
Thank you for this v kind comment I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the videos! And yes you’re 100% right about the bats, I actually comment on this in the video I’ve just released today so completely agree with your suggested approach! Happy and Snorkel are great names, I’ll add them to the name list ☺️
heck yeah! i've been waiting so long for a new video! also.... death adders are Australian?! aw mate, that's so cool! I love snakes! oooh... but them brownies... don't go playing around with them! they'll send you straight to the hospital! and the blue tongues are so cute but can be aggressive so look out for them too!
Should allow us to merge exhibits at this point, would be awesome to have exhibits 2,3 or even 4 grids long. Some species like green iguanas would need a much bigger exhibit compared to the beetles, they could even incorporate welfare into it too so green iguanas would be unhappy in 1x1 exhibit but be ok with a 1x2 exibit but would be most happy in a 1x3 exhibit.

I love how mildly wacky the protest mechanics in this game can be. Baby animal spooked from too many people? Down with the zoo! Animal hot for an afternoon? Down with the zoo! Least it let's you know more that something is wrong, but still funny to think about
i feel the npcs need of a toilet just from watching their silly walk and how you say "oh they want a toilet, lets give them pizza instead." ^^ i worked once at a garden/museum and the guest toilet they had was just an outhouse with a bag of sand + shovel for flushing. very organic and ethical... ^^
Can anyone tell me how much space does Planet Zoo actually takes on pc? Steam says it needs 16GB but I've seeing a lot of ppl saying it takes less 🤔 Anyways, u have no idea how impatient I was to see a new vid.
