  • Rome is a must see for any traveler and here's how we broke up our stay:
Day 1: Trip to Vatican City
    - Start your day with a visit to St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world, known for its stunning Renaissance architecture and iconic dome designed by Michelangelo.
    - Explore the Vatican Museums, which house an extensive collection of art and historical artifacts, including the Sistine Chapel, adorned with Michelangelo's famous ceiling frescoes.
    - Take a stroll through St. Peter's Square, where you can admire the impressive colonnades designed by Bernini and soak in the atmosphere of this historic plaza.
Day 2: Colosseum and Campo di Fiori
    - Begin your day by visiting the Colosseum, one of Rome's most iconic landmarks and the largest ancient amphitheater ever built. Explore the interior of this ancient marvel and learn about its fascinating history as a venue for gladiatorial contests and other public spectacles.
    - Afterward, head to the nearby Roman Forum, once the center of ancient Roman life and politics. Wander among the ruins of temples, basilicas, and government buildings, and imagine what life was like in this bustling hub of the ancient world.
    - In the afternoon, visit Campo di Fiori, a lively square known for its bustling market selling fresh produce, flowers, and other goods. Take some time to browse the stalls, sample local delicacies, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of this popular neighborhood. We loved the fresh pressed juice and deep fried pasta balls!
Day 3: Roman Forum and Capitol Hill (see our separate video for the Roman Forum)
    - Begin your day with a visit to the Roman Forum, continuing your exploration of this ancient archaeological site. Highlights include the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Titus, and the House of the Vestals. Be sure to climb the Palatine Hill for panoramic views of the Forum and the surrounding city.
    - Next, head to Capitol Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome and home to the Capitoline Museums. Explore the museums' extensive collection of classical sculptures, ancient artifacts, and Renaissance masterpieces, including works by Michelangelo and Bernini.
    - Take some time to wander around Piazza del Campidoglio, the central square of Capitol Hill, and admire its elegant Renaissance architecture and majestic equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius.
    Optional Day 4: Pompeii
    - If you have an extra day to spare, consider taking a day trip to Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located near Naples. You could also explore Pomepii from Naples if you olan to move sputh for a few days.
Explore the ancient city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, and marvel at the remarkably well-preserved ruins of streets, houses, temples, and public buildings. Highlights include the Forum, the House of the Faun, and the Villa of the Mysteries.
